Thanks Lara! Was so nice ot be fussed over and made to feel good.
Carboot sale went well today, we didnt have much that was worth anything, we sold most things for 50p and a pound but we did ok i think and got some more money to put in overdraft fund, so over 200 quid on next payment now.0 -
20 is about my limit to be fair! Although as our savings grow we'll end up having to get another ISA I guess, so it's not going to get much less.
Went to church today, went to get my phone out to swap numbers with another girl, and had 7 missed calls off mum. Turns out the cat has been sick, and is wee-ing everywhere and there is blood in it and shes crying a lot. So we took her to the emergency vets, and he thinks it is cystitis. So shes had antibiotics and painkillers and anti-inflamitories, and she has to be taken between 9am and 2pm tomorrow for blood tests, so I'm going to have to call work tomorrow and ask if I can put a flexi day in so I can take her. Has also cost the bones of £250, but hopefully we'll be able to claim at least some of this back from her insurance.
The vet says its most likely caused by stress, so we're going to have to keep her apart from the bunny who tries to mate with her.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hello everyone
Back from Cornwall and busy catching up on the thread although I haven't got very far. Had a fab time and didn't go mad spending money so was able to put some back in the e-savings. I also made a decision while I was down there but I'm not sure yet how feasible it is. As I've got this Virgin CC at 0% til October 2010 I decided I'm going to try and reduce the balance enough to allow me to transfer that Northern Rock loan over so I'm paying 0% instead of 9.9%. I have to do it by August 5th, though cos that's the cut off date for balance transfers. It means I need to get at least another couple of hundred off the balance but I think I can do it if I'm careful. I know I won't have the whole amount paid off by the end of the 0% period but I figure I can look for another card then.
Dinah, hope you're cat's ok? Tilly, my Westie was poorly yesterday being very sick, not eating and not drinking water. Took her to the emergency vets and she was not sick the whole time she was there and was actually quite lively. She had an injection and we were given some rehydration stuff and told to come back tomorrow if she hadn't improved. She came home and was right as nine pence so hasn't been back. The whole episode cost me £34. She's spent a week with my mum's dog who's got the nickname of 'Sicknote' (amongst others!) and seems to have a deal going with the vet (she tells the vet to get her out of walking and she'll get him the money for a cruise!!!). Hope it's not rubbing off!
Anyway, better go and juggle figures and stuff.
Have a good day xxLet's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
Sorry to hear the cat is unwell, hope she is feeling better soon.
Glad you had fun in Cornwall Poolie and well done for not spending too much0 -
Hi everybody, feels like ages since I've been on here, but have been catching up in bits over the weekend. Wendz, you look great and not at all nervy on stage! I also quite liked the Charity Chic I have to say. Yep, 20 accounts would completely befuddle me, glad to see that there's one there to be closed at least! Hope kitty's feeling better, cystitis is horrible!
Weather has been horrendous here all weekend, really thick sea haar (sp?), so been sitting about all weekend with OH watching films, it's been great and rather moneysaving too. Oooh, and Blur were AMAZING the other night - it's scary to think that I'm older now than they were when I first got into them! They were great, playing all their hits and Damon did a load of crowd surfing, even OH loved it and he's staunchly in the Oasis camp! Glad you enjoyed McFly too Birdie, even if you've got a stiff neck now! Just sitting about now waiting for my ebay items to end, all but two have bids on and some have 20+ watchers so fingers crossed for a few bidding wars!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
