Twice a week is what doctors reccomend you do to keep your heart healthy. Everything in moderation I say. I'm probably not going to get to the gym until Friday, with mums ofsted I'm too busy at home, tomorrow is our anniversary and we've got the theatre, and thursday we've got a free cinema thing. There just aren't enough hours in the day some weeks!
We have a months course of free tennis lessons starting on Monday though, should be good. It's a shame it is the Monday though, everything seems to be on Mondays and it causes issues. I'm really really hoping the sewing course is on a different evening this year, otherwise I might have to look really really hard at the not so good ones and see if I can make any fit to my skills.
Another big bump to the £20 a day challenge, NIM got £104 through from a MS company. I know we're still due £90 from one company, £60 from another £10 from free bingo, and we have £45 on TAB bingo we need to send ID off to withdraw. If we got all of those through we'd still be short on the £10 a day, but at least we'd be solidly clear of the halfway mark!
Didn't put any of the money into the house saver though, it very solidly cleared NIMs little £49 overdraft, giving him £55 credit, but he not to move it, he'd been praying for some money to arrive soon for something, and it looks like his prayers have been answered. Given he's the romantic type I'm guessing I'm gonna be getting some flowers tomorrow!
We also made an application for a joint account last night. Honestly, I expect we'll be refused and we'll have to go with the basic one, however because I'm already with HSBC I'm hopeful I can get them to manually reassess if and when we are refused!
Good luck with the gold Birdie, do you mind me asking, is it expensive?
I think you're right Cinny, test the waters gently, 3 tables is a lot to fill and you'd need a wide range of things to sell.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Is it just me or has High Street Web stopped tracking on QuidCo?0

If it makes anyone feel better I have £3 for this week, then a grand total of £4 next week  Sounds like you got plenty done yesterday though Wendz!
Oooh, good luck with your golf lesson Birdie! Hope the weather keeps up for you. I'm feeling guilted into exercising too now, doesn't help my sisters OH has just started body building and makes me feel like a right blob! Although last week he started taking these 2500 calorie shakes. I asked him why he didn't just have a McDonalds and pop a few vitamin tablets but he didn't look amused..
Dinah - Sounds like a fun few days. And great news on all the money coming in! Fingers crossed for the joint account too.
Poolie - Alot of people on the NSclans have been complaining about it not tracking, then some randomly get trackedI'm still a newbie to it so I don't understand it all!
I had these images of me being on a massive stall with like, 5 cupcakes and a Victoria sponge! Looking really forward to the charity one though, and trying to sell a few on Sunday.
On a completely different note, when did cat collars start costing so much?!0 -
Thanks Cinny. I thought I was going mad. Last tracked on 19th so has been a few days. It is part of my regular day clicks (especially useful when working nightshift as gives me something to do).
It is not just cat collars - everything is still getting expensive even though we are meant to be in a recession when things are meant to be cheaper.0 -
The Golf Club have done a special deal (I think they're desperate for new blood, not that I'd ever join!) so it's £50 for 6 group lessons and that includes access to the chipping lawn thingy on non-lesson days that's normally only available to members. I think that's an OK price, when I was looking into lessons a few years ago it was about £35 for 3 lessons. I might talk them into letting me have a free run around the course once I've finished lessons too.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Oooh, I was supposed to ask you to let me know how the Tennis goes Dinah! I'm always so inspired to start playing when Wimbledon is on but it never happens! I get too tired running around looking for the balls because I can't hit them!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Lol I can't stand tennis to be honest, much more of a badminton girl, but I'm not about to turn down 4 free lessons!
I've had no money to last me until payday for quite a while now, and there is still no money to last me till Thursday! Plus, I'm going to need a tank of petrol tonight or tomorrow, so that's another £55 gone. GRRRR. Hate petrol.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

How come you have no money left to last till Thursday.
Have you tried looking at petrolprices.com for the cheapest fuel in the area?
I try to use the site where I can but have found that I need to increase the distance to about 15 miles to get a better chance (the gym is in the next town and the shell garage is generally 1p or 2p cheaper than Tesco so usually nip in if I am going to the gym and need petrol)0 -
I'm the same Dinah, I love badminton but can't play Tennis for the life of me.
Petrol is getting to silly prices again, I put £10 in OHs car at the weekend and it barely touched the sides!
Just had a call from the woman I work in the office with and she won't be in today. Another £10 for me come next week! Bad side is I only have a banana and a cereal bar.. really wanted today to be a NSD.0 -
Lol no money because I have paid for over £300 of things for mum this month, none of which I've been paid back for, and paid off the £120 train tickets which we paid for on the CC last month. I do use petrol comparison sites and invariably the cheapest place is Tesco, which is only about an extra mile onto my journey, I just have a huge tank, and do an equally large amount of milage (averaged out at 1200 a month over the year!)Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
