Lol I'd be the same Birdie. Most annoyingly its written into my contract that I have to bring my car to work every day, it really bugs me as dad works less than 3 miles from me, and we both do the exact same journey, at the same times, and we both have to bring a car!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

How secure are your work car parks? Could you not take your car in on Monday morning and get a lift with your Dad all week then drive back on Friday afternoon?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I don't have any faith I'd come in on a morning and it wouldn't be either bashed in or up on bricks! All the local youths drive their corsas and saxos and park in a line and smoke and drink and hump in syncrony. It's really almost creepy!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Why do you have to bring your car? Seems a bit against the fashion of being eco-friendly and car sharing! In our head office there aren't enough spaces for all of the staff to park in so they have no choice but to car pool!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

My work car park is shared between the 3 different companies in the building but access is via remote fob or pressing the button and speaking to the building reception.
The remote fob is given out in the following order:
1 - People on shifts
2 - People who work in building who bring cars (or bikes)
3 - People in building across the road if there is any space left - as their car park round the back is full by 7:40am.0 -
They are thinking about car pooling at my place but it would be no good for me due to the times i travel in and come home. I think that is the major problem - everybody was to work different hours to build flexi so people would have to come in and leave the same time as the car pooler.0

I'm an 'essential car user' therefore I need my car in case of a planning emergency I need to be able to get to. In 3 years how many of those do you think I've had?!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I only use my car for social reasons working in London so only have to fill up twice a month max normally but i do pay 100 pounds a month travel for my travel card round london. OH used to walk to work and with the police he will have free travel which is always good!0

My OH is 5 minutes from the office so she just walks in unless it is raining and I am about then she wants collected or dropping off.
Otherwise I have the 22 miles a day round trip to work. Not bad as long as it is quiet and not a weekend (Bl**dy kids and LegoLand)0
