they're all adults and its not my place to sort out their finances for them.

Exactly, although you might not agree with how they're going about it at the end of the day it's really up to them. No matter how frustrating it must be! I hope they take in what you say though.

OH is left with a lot of debt after uni, he dropped out after the first year as he only really went because that's what everyone else he knew was doing and although he says 'nothing I can do about it now' I know he regrets it. Ho-hum. That's one thing that gets me though, everyone feeling the need to go to Uni. My sister had an interview a month ago and when they asked her what she'd do when she went to Uni they were shocked when she said she didn't think she had a need to go just yet. (she got the job and starts on Saturday btw!)

Ooh, also. Quidco are doing £10 cashback when you sign up to a free 4 issue trial of Times magazine. Didn't know if you'd seen it or not Dinah, and if you and NIM do it that's your £20 a day sorted!

You've got to keep your eye on me, but every now and then I do come out with something useful!

Just been looking at the challenges and planning on joining a few next month, £10 a day challenge, NSD (again) and the 100 day challenge when it finished late next month. Seen the people posting 10 ebay/ebid items a day. That's crazy! I don't think I even have that much stuff.

I did the 10 items a day on ebay, but couldn't stick to it. We got 25-ish done at the weekend, hopefully will get more done tomorrow evening, but do have a lot of surveys and competitions to catch up on.

I think you'd be great at the £10 a day one though Cinny. I'm failing so badly at that this month its untrue, don't know where we have gone wrong!

You do give yourselves a lot to do though Dinah! But it's still £106 this month you wouldn't have had otherwise. And I'm sure you'll have more than that by the end of the month anyways. How's the MS going? Oo, has NIM started the MB yet? I'm really wanting OH to do that but he seems to be working constantly atm, working 11 hour shifts most days and I suppose he needs sometime away from gambling!

I'm hoping I'll be good at the £10 a day challenge! It'll all be going into my ISA and even then I'll be falling short of about £800. So I'm going to have a word with my Grandad and see if next year I could use some of my premium bonds to fill up the ISA. He was on about just giving us the money a few months back seeing how PB rates are so bad, so I can't see him having many problems with this if it's going straight to savings.

No he hasn't started the MB, we've kind of decided we have enough on our plates without starting anything else up right now. If/when we get this self-build house off the ground, we're going to be a LOT busier, so now just isn't the time.

You OH must be scorching through the debts if he's working that many shifts Cinny!

I know we've got about £160 more due from MSs this month, Ebay isn't going to finish in time, so we're not looking likely to meet the target, first ever fail. Very sad.

And as she says that, £38 of MS money I wasn't expecting arrives in my account!

Seems sensible Cinny if your ISA rate is higher than your PB rate.

I know what you mean about the 10 ebay items a day - I have enough junk to do that I just couldn't part with it all! Didn't know the 100 day challenge was coming up, I always miss them! Must have a think about what to give up...

Just having a look at Time on Quidco, it doesn't say anything about a free trial, just a subscription - am I looking at the right thing?

Coke Zone are doing 50p casback when you register and enter a competition too. Not £10 I know, but you might win the competition I suppose!

Oooh £350 in the secret be prepared W fund. What was I aiming for? £1k by the end of the year or something? Eeek. Thats about £100 a month to rumage away without NIM feeling the pinch, on top of our regular savings for the house.

You'd think that wouldn't you? Last month almost half his wages went straight to his Mum for board - but nothing he can do about that! Planning to be uber thrifty this month so we can come out the other side of July looking a bit pretty than this month.

Oo, the £10 has already cleared for the Times magazine! Made my belly flippity when I saw it. Looked up the coke zone but I'm already with them so can't get the 50p! Thanks anyways Tete :D Have entered for tickets to see MJ at the o2, so fingers crossed! That would make OHs life if we got to go.

I'm sure you'll be able to find the £100 Dinah! There's a thread for making £3 a day on daily clicks (sure you've seen it!) but on an an average month you'd make £93 from that. Plus a few sneaky amazon book sales and you've done it!
