Lol I went down to enroll on the mechanics class at Gateshead college when I lived there, enrollment started at 9am on the 24th, I went down at about 1pm and the woman laughed at me and told me it had filled up 'ages ago' - then run more bloody courses woman - you're clearly missing a trick here!

Nope I don't have dark skin, I have really pale skin actually! But it's really subtle so I like it.

    Here's a pic:

Lindsay Lohan has got one on her wrist. The colour comes out differently on different skin tones. Sometimes you have to get it done a few times to make it stand out. And also you have to find a tattooist who uses white ink.

I'd love to do one of those mechanics for girls evening classes, I always saw them advertised when I lived in Newcastle but can never find anything round here.
I did one of those a couple of years ago, it was really good but my car (a Civic at the time) was too fancy and I couldn't get to any of the parts of the engine that we were learning about! (Clever Honda, making sure that services could only be done at proper garages!). We did all sorts to my friend's car though, changed the oil, checked the brakes, replaced bulbs etc. Really good fun!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Aye that's not bad (this is from someone who hates tatoos!), but you'd have to have a darker shade of white to show up I think, I look almost vampiric, so white ink would probably be darker than my skin!

Hmm, that's the thing with new car - they're all electicals and not so much mechanical... My car would be great for that but then I don't know how much longer I'm going to have it. (Instead of looking at Poolie's figures last night, I went on the Fiat website and configured a 500 - colour, interior, extras...)

Zig I quite like that actually, but agree with Dinah I'm very white too!! Would it stand out if you tanned?

Have you considered just paying it off the mortgage, then the mortgage will be lower when the rates rise again anyway?

We thought about this, but the amount of difference it would make is pretty negligible (at the moment our mortgage is 0.1% above the base rate) and we can always pay off a lump sum in 6 months if the rates haven't shot up too much.

Wow, I've never seen those white ink tattoos, but I like them. I had my tongue pierced for about 5 years - it was kind of a sensible rebellion as it hasn't left any mark and my skin scars really badly so I didn't want anything on my face.

One of my friends has 'le jambon' tattooed on her butt cheek in french-style script - she's a bit mad, but it works!

I used to go with my friends when they got tattoos. One guy had Pinhead on his arm which looked pretty fantastic! He also had a cartoon horror-dragqueen on his arm which was cute. I loved guys like Wednesday 13 with all his tattoos. *sighs* The white ink is really neat though.

Love the sound of your friends tattoo Poddle!

Just moved some extra monies into savings, need to get around to updating my sig!

ETA: Darn it Zig, you found a photo of my tattoo! I hate those playboy ones, almost as much as Koi Carp tattoos. What's the point in them?!

Lol, she's talking about getting a cartoon leg of ham tattooed underneath it too...

Eww, those nails are as bad as the tattoo!
