I know what you mean about spinning getting booked up - at my gym they open booking on a Sunday for the following week's classes, but by the time I go to the class on Monday, the next week's class is fully booked (if that makes any sense at all!).

I think WW is the same as Slimming World, ie. if you get to your target weight and stay within 5lbs then you can go for free. I think the secret is staying for the meetings too!

I've been put off spinning by one of the girls at work, she had a sore bum for weeks after a class! I'm not so good on bikes anyway so spinning really does not appeal! I used to think that spinning class was some mad kind of dancing! LOL!
I think you need the motivation of the public weigh in to keep you on track when you lose weight; my Mum thought the meetings were a waste but they clearly worked because she didn't want to get told off if she put weight on! Now she doesn't care about having extra biscuits or a couple of glasses of wine! I fear she's worse since I left home as I'm not there to give her evils if she's snacking!

Okay weight loss talk backfired, ate a mini-muffin. Have to go to the gym now. (This is all because I've run out of squash and if I go without sugar for an hour I get a headache!).

Don't worry Dinah, I've had 4 squares of white chocolate! And I had a big lunch... I can't really get out of going to the gym tonight without feeling like a total pig! OH thinks I'm so good with food at work, if only he knew!

Lol, I figure that I'm not going to ever stop having the occasional (read 'fairly regular') treat, but at least I'm counteracting it by going to the gym.

I just hate how much it costs, but hey, 6 months of going twice a week, then I get to quit.

Urgh, one of my cases at work is a nightmare, flyers have gone around a whole 'village' of about 4000 people, giving duff information and now they're all up in arms!

What makes me feel discouraged is how much work you have to do to burn off the treats! I get bored of a machine after a few minutes and the thought of staying on there for over 30 minutes to burn off some biscuits is unbearable!
Do you feel guilted into excercising by those Change 4 Life adverts? I do, although I don't really think it's aimed at people like me who are lethargic but still somewhat active! I haven't known a single overweight person who has been influenced to change their life by this campaign, it's kind of mad how many people are so unhealthy now and don't seem to care, but we are desperate to get rid of a tiny bit of podge so we can be classed as underweight!

I know how you feel Birdie! But what I mean is you'd eat the biscuits anyway, right? So anything that you burn off is a bonus - this is my theory and I'm sticking to it! Gym is stupidly expensive though and I don't believe people when they say that the more they exercise the more they enjoy it!

I think those ads are quite effective - I do want to be healthier. But, there was a question on one of the surveys the other day - would you rather be a) thinner or b) healthier and I think a lot of people (girls, mainly) would say b.

Today is good, feeling human again. Am impressed by all the gym good intentions already. Work is going okay - dare I say well in case I jinx everything?! Lol. Am touching MDF at least - not quite wood.
