Yay for all the gymming - I've now been and Poolie says he's going so we've set the bar down for the rest of you! Birdie I think it'll be good to go with OH as you can motivate each other or, I suspect, he can motivate you! I go to the uni gym Dinah, £7 a month for all classes and unlimited use of gym, climbing wall etc. And nice and close! Just wish we had a pool. Are you thinking of cancelling?

Cinny, 2009 moments sounds fab and you've reminded me that I have piggypoints stashed away to use on snapfish, might have to add that to my list...

I was thinking of starting to go swimming yesterday, mainly because I found a swimsuit (with tags still on:o) in my wardrobe and I didn't look too ghastly in it. Just need to see when times are that fit in with work and, oh yes, budget it in!

If you click on 'your account' on Snapfish it comes up with other deals too, one I've got is 'Premium Subscription Type 1 trial' Whatever that means!
My mum bulk bought ink for her photo printer when they were £5 somewhere, we've got about 20 stuffed in a cupboard! I wouldn't complain but she rarely prints photos off, unless it's an undoubtly funny picture of a dog.

Right, aiming to get all my work finished before 2:15.. lets see how I go!

Yep definitely cancelling come January, it's just too much money and we don't use it enough (tbf, I can't think of an 'enough' that would cover £120 a month!). Plus hopefully by then NIM will be building the house so won't need the gym anyway.

Hello all! Sounds like a mixed bag of weekends!

Dinah, that's one HUGE list - I can't quite bring myself to post mine, well until it stops growing...

Well done on the gym, Tete! I'm going to spinning later on. I've decided to follow weight watchers for a while to shift some squidginess! One of my friends has lost 20lbs since March doing it and she looks amazing!

My Mum did WW for a while a couple of years ago and lost over 2st and looked really good for it, she gave it up because she couldn't be bothered paying £5 a week to get weighed and 'knows the rules' and she's put all of the weight back on! I keep telling her to go back to the meetings or to try the Idiot Proof Diet (low carb) but she keeps saying 'I know what to do!' but doesn't actually do it! It drives me mad!
£120 a month for the gym for you and NIM is mad Dinah! I think this new gym that OH is 'making' me join is £30 a month and they don't tie you in for a fixed period, it's a new gym so I think they're just trying to get people through the door at the moment. They're going to have a beauty spa thing there soon too... think I'll make more use of that than the gym equipment!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

This one has a spa but I'm very good and don't use it as obviously it costs extra! When we joined we intended to go there instead of going out for meals, but NIM is just so anti-gym it's insane he ever said he'd join. I still go sporadically because I need to keep the blood pressure down.

£120 and the spa's not even included! Shocking! Spinning is something that tempts me but you have to sign up to classes in advance (this it at the council place now not the uni gym) because they obviously only have so many machines, and it always seems to be full.

On the subject of your mum Birdie, I know a few people who've lost a lot of weight, very sensibly, on Slimming World - it's all about the support in the meetings isn't it? My friend is allowed to keep going to the meetings every week for free now that she's hit her target weight, as long as she doesn't go more than 2lbs one way or the other I think, keeps her motivated.

2llbs? That's not much, they'd boot me out quickly, I'd drink a big bottle of water or something and they'd set upon me like rabid wolves!
