Cinny - the laptop idea sounds like a good one. What kind of priced laptop would you go for?

All the lists are very good, I might write my own later.

I've just seen our future Girls.. My Gran and her friend getting really excited about how my gran has found bags of sugar for 66p (they're 97p in Sainsburys would you believe!) They managed a full 5 minute conversation souly on that!

I think my laptop can make it until the end of the year, so I might just put £20 away a week, then get one around christmas time when they have the good deals? Plus that'll mean I'll be able to put £30 a week into my holiday fund and have a nice bit to go away on in September! (please feel free to ignore my savings ramblings from now on!)
I went a bit cross eyed reading that savings post!

I have offically reached Dinah-ette Status!

That's such a lovely idea Birdie! Hope it works!

Wendz - About £400, then at least I know it's a good one! I like my brothers Sony one, and I'm quite taken by dell (all those purdy colours!) but I'll just keep an eye out for deals and what not.

I hope it works too! I'm planning on sending a letter to Tony Shalhoub from Monk too, Mum's second love (and my #1, I have to admit!) so I hope I'll get something from one of them!
I can't wait until I get so old I get excited about the price of sugar! I'm already looking forward to my retirement and I've still got about 40 years of work left!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Ooh our boss has just come in to tell us that a big hotel chain we do a lot of work with wants to thank us for our business and has invited the whole team plus partners to a day at the races in their exec box thing in August! Possiblilty of cheap rooms to stay over too. There aren't many perks in this job but this would be a good one!

I'm already excited about the price of sugar! And lists! And payday! So many exclamation marks - maybe we're just an excitable bunch :D

Fab news about a day at the races, Tete! Very posh - would you have to wear a big hat?
