Hey everyone! I'm so jealous about you guys getting paydays lol! I really need a summer job now that I'm finished!
Ah well! Went to the hairdressers last night and have got my blondeyness back! (I used one of those at home hair kits in realllly dark brown near christmas and it had just been fading and fading!!) So that was nice but I haven't fully paid mum back for it yet..
I have paid my final bill on my house though for this year I think, and I'm just trying to sort out being back at home and jobs etc! Have an interview tomorrow but when I called the lady was like, "yeah I'm just sifting through for your form, we have millions..." Not a good sign i don't think but hey.
Think I'm going to make a move on the mountain of stuff I need to unpack today, seriously, I have so many things! Maybe I can find a few for ebay....!?
I sold this thing on ebay last night that I bought in a mixed bag of sewing things for 10p at a carbootsale a few weeks ago and just sold it for 99p to an American woman but didn't realise that my postage was just £5 flat rate to international (waaay too high) and it only cost about £2 to post - oops but I think she got a bargain anyway but hey feel a bit bad though!
Also I won £5 on my scratchcard today! so I'm on about £8 really missing the TAB ones though.
Just realised, how much I also use the humble exclaimation mark! Sorry everyone.
Flower - your nan will be fine, I think you are doing something which will be sooo good for the long run! you could say alternativly you move in with her? see how that goes down lol!0 -
Good Morning!
I had a scary dream last night about teaching OH to drive; he was driving down the A1 like a lunatic, swerving between lanes without looking or indicating and I was terrified! I think it's a sign from above to not go out in a car with him until he passes his test!
I really need to sort out my wardrobe; it still has all of my winter clothes in there so I need to make my summer wear accessible! It is bursting at the seams too so I think it needs thinning out! Yet another job for the weekend!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

So, from one extreme to the other. Mum did a suprise attack to ask about grandchildren this morning. MiL is desperate not to get them ever, mum however is more than ready and willing!
Mum: 'so are you two going to get around to giving me grandchildren then?' (in a very happy way not accusing)
Me: it's erm, on the cards but not for a few years, we wanted the finances in order first, and I want to be married.
Mum: Does NIM have any intention of ever getting around to that then (still laughing)
Me: Well I hope so!
Mum: I'm just worried about you leaving it so late, you really do need to take the blood pressure seriously, its not the kind of thing you can just hope will be okay
There are 6 of us in her house already - any more people and it would literally fall apart at the seems!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Just realised, how much I also use the humble exclaimation mark! Sorry everyone.
I think we all overuse it on here! (see?! - I can't help myself)
Going into town this afternoon to get my money out for the week - and what I owe my parents - set myself a £3 budget to get some sweeties to sneak into the cinema tomorrow, think I'll be able to come in way under this if I check around B&M and homebargains (seriously, how cheap does that make me sound?!) Me and my sister are being supergeeks tonight, rebooting her old computer and using it as a Sims only laptop, so it'll be SATC reruns and oeros all round!
Managed to get an MS job for in a couple of weeks too, need to clear my laptop out and update all the programs so I'll be able to do them at home next time (missed out on 1 really great one, gutted!)
ETA: Your mum sounds lovely Dinah! If there's an Ultimate Incentive Ebay weekend going on I'll give it a go too! I've got Sunday allll to myself (first time in weeks!) but I'm desperate to find something to fill it. Meant to be super sunny though, so I might opt for tanning instead.0 -
Yep we're doing an Ebay Sunday afternoon - Saturdays are our day off (cept NIM has 2 MSs this week) so Sunday is Church then Ebay.
My mum is lovely, just broody for grandkids! Think it might be a bit pressuring on NIM mind (who am I kidding, if we won the lottery he'd want to start trying tomorrow!).Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

My only problem is, I only think I've got 1 thing to ebay! I had a big clear out last year and got rid of anything I hadn't used within a month or so, and I've been on budgets since so haven't managed to fill my room up with other tat. Might have to focus on getting lots of books on Amazon instead.0

I might get photographing done on Sunday but not going to list anything til Thursday - I remember reading on here many many moons ago that you should do a 10 day listing starting on a Thursday as Sunday afternoons are the busiest time for ebay so it's more likely to end with a flurry of bids, and if you do 10 days rather than 7 you get two weekends worth of exposure.
I like the mental image of your mum's 'surprise attack' over the cornflakes! My dad makes little comments now again but usually to other family members who already have grandkids "Yes, well I don't know when I'll get a grandchild..." etc, but he was 35 when I was born so he can hardly complain about me wanting to be footloose and fancy free a bit longer
I joined Retail Eyes the other day, and this might seem a silly question, but where do you find the assignments? Or are there just never any there?

Good tip about the ebay, I think I'll do that myself, get everything sorted and photographed this weekend then list on Thursday. Think I need to make a list of things to do this weekend or I'll sit around doing nothing wondering what I was supposed to be doing!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary.
