I've been pondering my money-making schemes and have a couple of ebay questions to anyone who can answer:

1- Turbolister - what is it? I seem to think it might be a tool that allows me to create my listings over the course of a week say, if I can only be bothered to do 2 a night or something, and stores them til I'm ready then I can list them all at once so that they'll all end on the same day? Is that right?

2 - Paypal - it's been a while since I've sold anything on ebay and have only used paypal as a buyer before. What are the fees like, do you put your prices up to reflect this? And is it easy to withdraw the money into your bank account?

    Thanks my dears!

When I was selling things for my Dad on Ebay we just kind of accepted the paypal fee, as you don't know how much things are going for you can't really put the price up to cancel the fee out. It isn't too much though, when something sold for £7.50 (including postage) it was only about a 45p fee.

As for turbolister, I've heard of it. Never used it or looked it up though!

    Sorry I'm not much help!

I use turbolister, much quicker to list and yes you can store listings until you are ready to upload them. NIM and I are going to have to hit the ebay-ing on Sunday.

Feeling very down in the dumps and pretty angry aswell, so im going to vent my fustration here!!

I just rang my nan to see if theres anything she needs or wants bringing over before i go on holiday - not that i need to bother as she is perfectly capable herself.
While i had her on the phone i thought i may aswell tell her about our planned moved in with OHs parents. I couldnt believe her reaction - she went on about how it would be the biggest mistake we would make, how i would hate it there and isnt it taking a big step back moving back in with them.
She knows how desperately we want to move, when i explained to her how much money we would save she just said we should stay here and save it up like everyone else would!
And apparently im being selfish leaving her. She moved away from her family along time ago when she retired, its only coincedence that i moved nearby to uni and she always knew i wasnt planning on staying.
Grr...i know she means well and just wants to make sure i will be happy living there, but sometimes she words things so wrong!!

Sorry about your Nan Flower, I hope she's not making you rethink your decison? At the end of the end it is your decison to make and if it is a mistake, it's your mistake to make and learn from! I think you're doing the right thing, we all do on here! I think some people don't realise how difficult it can be financially, especially for younger people, so they will think it's easy to just 'save up'. We know the truth, and once you've paid off your debts and saved up to move into a nice new home you can show your Nan how right you were!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Nope definatly not rethinking our plans. Its the best possible solution for us and a great way for us to get a fresh start. We could pay off our debts - and still be young! We would have learnt our lesson from the debt, which at our age i think is great! The only debt i ever plan to have ever again is a mortgage, and if to have that it means living with OHs parents for a few months then so be it.
And i dont think living with his parents is going to be a huge issue, yes it will be strange moving back to one room but i get on well with them so there shouldnt be a problem.

I was just shocked by her reaction because its not like she NEEDS me here, shes not that old and still perfectly capable, maybe its just because she has got used to having me so close by.
