Sounds like you would have a great time if you won the lottery! Would be great if you could buy things without worrying about how much they cost etc

I saw that Martin was on honeymoon at the mo and I wonder if he had an MSE wedding? I bet he didn't! But I'd be very intrigued to know how he did it!

That explains why the mblog hasn't updated in about a week!

He always says that MSE is not about not spending any money, but about spending within your means.

Hehe, as Martin says, it's not always about getting the cheapest thing, it's getting the best deal for your money! I'm sure he haggled the cost well down, but it will still have been a flashy affair IMO! I wonder if there'll be a blog about it all!

I've got a one part bad news and two parts good news post.

Bad news - OHs car has failed it's MOT. Needs £250 worth of repairs (at least) and it isn't even worth that much, OH has had to drain his little savings and almost all his 'pocket' money to cover costs. He's got his insurance coming up next month too and no way to pay it. I knew this month started out too well.

Good news part 1 - Dad has offered OH a small loan to get a new car with (nothing major, 1kish) we have a friend who owns a garage so he's just nipped off to see what deal he can get. - I think a main part of it is he doesn't want his little girl driving around in something which could easily break down (I don't think any of us want a repeat of Cumbria!) Parents are lovely!

Good news part 2! - Been looking at plans for the house (being called The Coals until we figure out a prettier name) had a geek moment and scanned the plans for my desktop background. Me and OH stopped off at the plot Saturday night and we already have a cat, I call him Biscuithead, alright, he isn't ours but he was sat on 'our' soil pile so as good as. All giddy. So weird seeing it all down on paper knowing I'll be living there!

As for Martins Wedding - I bet it was 'cheap' one. I don't think he'd have the guts to face us lot if he spent too much, I know I wouldn't!

Oooh can I see the plans Cinny? I can only think in plans, I get no sense of a house from walking around it but I love plans!

    Afternoon everyone!

Expensive day for us today. OH and i went shopping for last minute holiday stuff.

On the plus side, sold a cd on amazon today for £7, so as soon as that money comes through that can go onto the HSBC CC. Really starting to panic about the interest rate, we have a month until it goes up - i know theres no way we can get it paid off in that time but i just want to get as much paid off as possible!
Going to chase up the PPI claim today i think

It's only the two prettiest pictures off the front page so far, scanning the floor plans after I've clocked off so I'll post the links to them later. It's nothing fancy or different, but it looks sweet to me!

Wanting to get photos of the plot most weeks (or, at least the weeks there have been works going on) so kind of keep a housie journal. I have no input into it, but I can take photos.

Great news on the cd sale Flower! Try not to panic, you can only do what you can but at least it's giving you a bit more of a push to get the thing cleared. Hope you get a few more sales.
