hi everyone, I have been busy doing my shed of marker and trying to clean my house as it will be going down hill again over the next seven weeks or so. OH has painted the kitchen so that now looks clean and fresh. We had a love time at Amber's christening last weekend and the weather was lovely.

We have booked to go to Dublin in the summer with SiL and her OH. I do have mixed feeling as on one hand I am excited to go but on the other am thinking that money could all go on CC's. It is booked now so I will have to get more than my finger out and make some money towards it.

NIM is in BIG trouble, he's been taking cash out at cash machines that charge!

I remember going mad at OH about 4 months ago for this. He never did it again :rotfl:

Spoke to NIM about it, he actually seems really annoyed as he didn't realise it charged!

If NIM can prove that there was no notice during the transaction or at the beginning where the screen keeps changing saying that the cash machine charges then he may have a case if he contacts the owner of the machine.

Would be difficult to prove though.

We avoid these machines at all cost as they can cost anything from £1 up to £3 for the transaction. I go out of my way to find a normal bank cash machine!

LOL my OH is terrible for that - £1.75 a time! We live in a bit of a cash machine wilderness which doesn't help. I tell him how many clicks he'll have to do to make the money back.

It was such beautiful weather here, we went to Little Venice for a walk along the canal. It turned out to be really little so we walked down to Paddington, then down Oxford Street into Covent Garden and feasted at the Mexican restaurant there. It was a super nice treat, and I think I'll sleep for a week now. Looking forward to my first MS tomorrow, it's a pub.

Oh sorry, I didn't think it was that scary it was too comical, esp the fight in the car park (hope that doesn't give too much away for other people) - I did enjoy it though, it was jumpy and watch-through-your-fingers-y.

It was the jumpiness that got me. I hate that! On the bed scene (the one that's in the trailer) there was someone in the back row going 'No no no noooo' After the jumpy parts, it was giggle fits but for someone who loves horror movies I freak out so easily!

Well done on finishing another painting Dinah. Cash machine that charge are a pain, poor NIM for not noticing! If he was in a rush though it's understandable, they're very sneaky!

Didn't get to the Library today, it's on the top of my to do list for Wednesday though. Have decided if I get a little business going I'm going to call it Georges Bakery but that's the only progress today!

ROTE - Glad to hear Ambers christening went well. Sounds like a lovely holiday planned too, I'm sure you'll be able to make the extra money easily.

Weather has been stunning today! Really looking forward to Sudbury Hall tomorrow, got a picnic ready to take.
Hope the sun keeps up for tomorrow, have a nice weekend!
Small confession, I bought the DP dress. Only £10 afterall though.

ETA: Your day sounds fab Lara! Good luck with the MS tomorrow too, nothing beats pub food on a Sunday!

    Morning All

Well another beautiful day. I am sure this is not going to last next week while I am off - for all those in the South expect rain!

Ah well daily clicks done. Just working out what to do today as OH is still in bed and I suspect may be there till lunch time. I did suggest a picnic.

Good luck on the new business venture Cinny, I think you will do well. People do charge rediculous prices for these things.

Dinah - that is annoying about the charges from the cash points, have to point him in direction of right ones!

Have had a lovely weekend, down at the farm my friend lives on in sussex. She had a bbq yesterday and we played rounders, and had go kart races, even though i cheated as OH pushed me round. There were about 8 dogs there which thouroughly entertained OH as he was pretending to throw the ball, and watch them all run down the other end of the field haha. We borrowed my mum and dads little tent to camp in and was way too small, OH had a bit of a panic in the night and had to sleep with his head hanging out. Think we will have to buy our own tent if we go campaing again. Managed to top my tan up a bit this morning sitting out.
  • ooo sounds fun I've been on nights and am sadly missing the sun!
