Just made my minimum payment to Natwest CC which was £11, but will definatly be able to put some more on it once i have worked out our budgets. Hoping to pay off about £50 of it this month (thats a big achievement for us lol).

OH was really good when we went food shopping aswell, actually looked at prices for once!! And it came out alot cheaper than normal.

    Eee, not long Tete!

Moved all my money about, taken off the DD coming out this week and I feel truely skintededed already. I think I might let up the savings for a bit while I get back on top of things. Add a few hundred more to my savings target and extend it to the end of July. Hmm.

Bless NIM for entering the wedding comp. Awwh :D

Good luck sorting the money out tonight Flower, yay to getting paid more than expected! £50 off the CC is a good chunk though, and well done to you OH with the shop yesterday!

Just been reading about this couple in the news, it's like NIM and Dinah to the extreme! They edit themselves together in photos when they aren't together, bless 'em! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1189212/So-near-far-How-British-girl-brought-boyfriend-4-000-miles-away-amazing-Flickr-photo-art-album.html

It sounds like your OH is learning quickly Flower! I hope that he sticks to his new MSE ways!

Ooooh don't think I've read the edible woman.

1 in 5 people buying new cars are using the scrappage scheme makes a lot more sense than 1 in 5 people are buying cars under the scheme, that'd be at least 5 million new cars on the road!

Sounds like your OH is fully on board now Flower, which is great.

The wedding comp was a 5k 2 week 5* honeymoon in Antiga and Barbados I think it was - wouldn't say no!

I think the Michaelangelo one was a bit much there Cinny! Haha!

I took it to mean that 1 in 5 eligible people (ie those with cars old enough) were doing the scrappage scheme... figures, figures, can be manipulated however you want!

You girls are like my conscience, I haven't been to the gym for two weeks. It's because this guy in my office has now joined and every day at 12 he goes 'Right, off to the gym' and I don't really want to be there at the same time having him seeing me sweaty and out of breath .. it's silly I know. If we're booking a sun holiday for July though I'll have to get back into it!

Hadn't thought about a disposable camera Birdie. TBH my Sony is a good one just not as good as the other. And I'm very snap-happy so would need about 8 disposables...

Well done on paying off some CC money already Flower - the Natwest will soon be history and you can concentrate on the other :)

Just thought I might put a nice pic of the Eiffel Tower on my desktop (very excitable and giddy today) and when I typed 'Paris' into Google Images, I got a load of pics of Paris blimmin Hilton flashing her you-know-what

Lol! Glad you're getting excited Tete. Not jelous at all (well, maybe a little bit but you deserve a good break).

I'm scared, I just did some maths and knowing how much is going into savings over the next month (I missed off the £500 regular savings!) we'll have got to around 13% in exactly 2 months. That's really scary, we'd hit our deposit target in only 15 months!

See - you CAN afford to loosen some money from the savings to live a little!!

Hmm, not definite yet. I double-checked the times and we've actually got til about 3pm on the third day so that's loads more time than I thought... Louvre on the Sunday as apparently it's free on the first Sunday in the month , Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Pompidou Centre, river cruise, pique nique in the Jardin de Luxembourg maybe, wander in Montmartre and Sacre Coeur, maybe the Rodin garden. I'd like to have a look in the Quartier Latin as well after you and many others say they love it. Any other suggestions?? Maybe Monet's waterlillies? Any idea what the Bois de Boulogne is like during the day (I know it's way dodgy at night)? Looking forward to getting to see the new St Pancreas too :D
