Bath plug at 88p beats the person who claimed £24 for a loo brush.

You can see the Tory claims online now, says it's updated every 5 minutes. Waiting for something juicy to come up!

There was an MP on Radio 2 (I think) last week who was defending spending hundreds on John Lewis shelves because he lives in a period house so he couldn't 'just go get some from Ikea' but he said he still uses them, which makes it all okay!
  • why should we pay for it GRRRRRRRRRRR

Urgh I think people with a lot of money are often very out of touch with the reality for 'the masses'. And when it's your MP who is out of touch you know the country is in real trouble!

I read that every WORKING Brit pays £1.75 in tax which covers the MPs expenses at the current level. Doesn't seem like much but when you take into account how many working brits there are, its staggering.

My favourite claim was for the floating duck house on some geezer's pond! I reckon the 2nd homes allowance should be scrapped and they should stay in dorms like student housing when they need to stay over night for work. That'll get them in touch with the masses!
My job is basically Admin, albeit slightly glorified...but it's still just admin! I can't complain too much as most of my friends who spent 3 years at uni are working in worse jobs than me for less money but when I started working here (5 years ago!) I said that it wouldn't be forever and I wanted to move forward... something went wrong!

Tete, I'd let anyone hit for £1million quid, not just Hitman Hatton, heck, I'd let them do it for £100k! Maybe actually just £10k!

I agree Happy, people in your profession really ought to be paid *very* well, it's terrible that you're not looked after as you should be!
