Ooh yay, the bidding has just ended on the item i had on ebay with 11 watchers - ended up going for £21 + p&p. Didnt expect it to go for that much so really pleased with that. Almost gives me the motivation to list some more stuff!!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I know what you mean. I find that even if just one thing sells much better than expected it does give me a bit more motivation to list some more. Im not at work until the weekend so think that is on my things to do list.

Take it your not watching the football then? OH just got home from work, asked for his tea then announced he was going to the pub to watch the football!

Apparently its a big match

Not a team that OH supports so dont really understand why he watches it, but never mind. Wont begrudge him it as he has really cut down on his evenings in his pubs to save money.

Its that time of the week where i subject myself to watching embarrassing bodies :rotfl:

Wow, NIM MIL sounds absolutely fearsome. Well done to you for not reacting and giving her any ammunition at all. I thought my Mum could be slightly harsh but NIM Mum blows her out of the water! I don't think she's insecure, but instead very spoiled. To think that she can treat people like that - she must have had many years of people not standing up to her properly. How sad to end up such a bully.

I think you are so right to put on a united front. Although it is probably disappointing for NIM not to be able to take a stronger line, it's a harsh situation for him. Staying together and showing everyone your love is all the antidote that you'll need in the long term. I hope she'll fall into line as the relationship matures and she learns the meaning of the word boundaries! How did she raise such a lovely man if she is so hostile?!

    P.s. dressmaking sounds great.

    Hi to all! x x
