Thats good news that he is doing well then.

That is good news, Especially as I believe that's one of the most agressive forms of cancer. Sicky sounds horrible, I hate being sick (I know no-one LIKES it), especially when it's not alcohol related!!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Evening everyone
Haven't been on here for a few days so was trying to catch up  Actually I'm a bit scared as I seem to be turning into one of those moaning old women who are never happy unless there's something to complain about!
Northern Rock
Didn't hear anything so sent them a letter and one to Financial Ombudsman on 7th May. When I didn't hear from the Ombudsman I checked the tracking number (sent both letters recorded delivery) and it appears it's still at the post office so I've got to go there tomorrow and hassle them. Heard from Northern Rock today, though and the new credit agreement has arrived but it's the same money as before. When I questioned it I was told that the money I've paid since I sent the acceptance back would be reimbursed with 10 days of receiving this agreement. Told the man I didn't believe him and that I wasn't signing it and he told me to sign it and it would be sorted out. I'm going to sign it and photocopy it and send everything to the Ombudsman again, although they now know about the complaint cos I emailed them.
Planning Department at the Council
Next door but one to me has got a huge building digger thing in his garden so I called the council to see if he'd applied for anything and he's had a 2 storey extension approved. They must've put it in the local paper cos they didn't send letters and didn't put signs on lamp posts like they did last time when he was trying to build on a piece of land he didn't own. I don't mind the extension but he's one of those know alls who thinks he owns the street. When I first moved here and asked him to move his car so I could get mine out of the garage he told me 'people round here don't put their cars in the garage, they use the garages to store things'. I told him that I used my garage to store things too.....like my car! The whole thing is going to be a pain.
What with all that and the ironing thing last week.........I told you, old woman.........they didn't do things like that in my day. Just hope I'm sent to a nice Nursing Home!!!
Anyway, have a good eveining everyone, I'm off to use the treadmill :eek:Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
Cinny - I read this thing in the paper about Ladbrokes doing a thing if you lose but you can throw your betting slip in the bin from a distance you get your stake back? how cool is that lol! It made me think of your OH, does he do that at his store yet?
Just text him and he says it's at his store, might have to get my underarm throw back up to scratch. Fingers crossed about the phone in interview, I bet you did fine! As for the ugg boots, I so want a pair! Im sure the money can be pulled from somewhere... just give me time to think!
Happy - So sorry to hear about your Uncle and Cousin, glad they're doing well though! Hope you're feeling better soon.
Managed to find a Pizza Express - in Meadowhall and I walk past it every week, duh! - so taking OH there tomorrow for dindins to cheer him up abit. There was an advert for a new pizza too, it's got a hole filled with salad in the middle and only 500 calories, bonkers!
Was a bit bad today, bought the Hummingbird Bakery book, just made some white chocolate brownies though and they smell loverly! And a bright yellow potted Gerbera (called Gerbie) too, so spent quite a bit.:o
Right, off for my tea, have a nice night everyone!0 -

Excellent. I had one of their pizzas a few weeks ago and loved it but it was down south and I wasn't sure where there was one here. I'll use a voucher off Martin (so to speak) and take OH there one evening, yum yum!!!Let's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -
Sorry to hear abot your uncle Happy. Cancer is a horrible thing but sounds like he has a lot of support.
I am trying tot hink of more moneymaking ideas too. going to try and get back into doing Dooyoo as is quite a good way to make money. Might try and do a review a day. Could never do as well as Dinah though. My debts are quite small too but would be good to get rid of them.
Don't worry about moaning Pilchard, sounds like you are having a few problems. Can't believe your neighbour, he sounds like a nightmare.0 -
Hello all, I'm shattered from running about all day! I've been doing a bit of everything; quite a lot of tea-making and carry heavy trays clumsily across the gravelly carpark, but also sitting in on workshops, sewing backdrops, selling books, smiling politely at people who may or may not be famous authors that I don't recognise
and most importantly (hopefully) impressing the people I'm helping (thanks Tete
)
I've also just had the fee confirmed for the freelance work I've been doing - about E1400 - so I'm feeling all positive. It's amazing how much 'adverse' situations change your way of thinking, before christmas that would have been about a month's salary, but now I'm thinking 'that could last me 3 months!'.
It's like what Flower was saying about debt being very subjective - Dinah and TPA are storming their way through challenges but it's not possible for a lot of people. And it's really nice to know that nobody judges you here no matter how big (or small) your debt...
Have a fab weekend in Ireland, Dinah & NIM! Was meaning to ask if you'd heard any more from that idiot NIM had a prang with? Hope it's all getting resolved civilly. Pilchard, I totally sympathise about your complaining - keep persevering and look forward to the day it's sorted
Cinny, I think you minor 'badness' is a good thing especially if you get white choc brownies out of it - your savings are still in good shape!
I've just caught up with the last couple of days and trying to remember what everyone's been up to, but tired and hungry, so hope you're all well and making nice plans for the bank holiday weekend xLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380
