Yeah, i know quite a few people who finished uni last year and are still in temporary part time jobs. Does make it feel like the last 3 years have been a waste, but im not going to give up! If i end up in a different job for a year then so be it, to be honest at the minute all im worried about is getting some money in!

Ooh must be exciting being able to house hunt! Have to admit i have been known to just look at houses i would like to buy on rightmove, knowing full well that i wont be in a position to buy for at 3 or 4 years yet!

Hahah i too look on right move just to nosey round houses i intend to buy a plot of land woo hoo... my uncles a builder ooo he was telling me some tales i nearly fell off my chair hes on a bloody good sallary even now in the recession !! ahhhh im rushing my wedding payments along because once thats cleared we can hopefully clear a credit card off or 2 if we are lucky x

I mostly look at houses we could realistically afford when we come to buying, but also like to put the max budget as unlimited - well a girl can dream!

Your uncle is very lucky that he is still on a good wage even through the recession. I know a few people who are self employed builders and never seem to have any work at the minute, one of them has even started working part time in asda to make up his wages.

its very depressing, my uncle has worked with the firm a very very long time and does a lot of jobs for the actual owner of the company, so hes pretty lucky he is also near retirement and doesnt particularly need to work lots, hes also justbeen diagnosed with bowel cancer and hes looking at dropping his hours after the operation..... i feel very bad for people who are loosing jobs its scary stuff and as much as you want to help we are all on the same path paying people grrrr.... flower this is a 5 year plan in attempting to build a house its because i have the family in the business... i said that i would allow till im 30 before kids to try and build our own home or buy somewhere if it wasnt meant to be but you have to try these things i arent spending my life playing the what if game xx

Yes i agree, i dont want to be one of those people that in twenty years says "i wish i did that" or "i wonder what would have happened if i..."

I feel like my eyes are going square! I have been on the laptop all day doing clicks, sureys and research for jobs etc... very boring! I seem to be running out of ideas on how to raise money for debt busting, how did Dinah do it???!!

well ive worked out i can be fully debt free by february 2012 i dont do any of the extra clicks or what not i just do a few extra bank shifts here and there which is bad of me i guess but im happy with the dfd i have probably sooner when we get our pay rises etc ...... wow to have 3490 in debt would be like a relief for me hehe

:rotfl::rotfl:and yet its like hell for me! I guess it depends on incomes etc... like i cant believe how much debt Dinah shifted, but i suppose if you are on a higher income it is easier to do it quicker (not that im saying it was easy for Dinah!!). OH and i are on very low income and after bills etc probably have about £15 left at the end of the week :rolleyes: makes me feel very poor lol.

Me too! Not much work on today so I've been trying to get to grips with comping but it's so boring!!! Still, might win a stay in an Irish Farmhouse or a year's supply of Magnums so fingers crossed! Incidentally, they reckon a year;s supply is one box of three per month!! Not even one a week!! Bit stingy on the old prize there methinks!

Then again probably isnt a bad thing, imagine if you won and they dropped off a huge crate every month - i'd be the size of a house!

its ok my uncle is fine infact it was rather bizarre my cousin found he had bowel cancer then a week later they diagnosed my uncle so it seems all the family had to go for tests both are doing really well and cousin has had his reversed now my uncles will probably be long term but a day at a time he says infact he has come through worse hes a good man im proud of him... flower im not at work i cant go in cos i was up vommiting so u need 48 hours clear im so angry and upset that i will probably have a panel meeting but what can one do when u are sick i just get paniced easily xxx
