That's cool you get your OH's creative chef side. No cakes though, aww. At least we have Cinny as our resident baker
Great news about Oscar. We would love a cat but landlady won't let us, so we try to tempt all the neighbours over the threshold! One little black kitten comes to see us.
Glad about all the good news, sounds like Tesco is great for insurance. Cinny I might take your lead and do film and Pizza later - sounds great. We were thinking of chancing Angels and Demons even though the reviews have been harsh. Anti-matter bomb though? Hmmm.... sounds more Star Trek.
I'm glad to be off today but the house is grotbags and in need of a 'deep clean'. We just had the estate agent handyman round to do a repair and he brought the letting agent eeek! I hope he doesn't tell on us for being so messy. Also have to go for the dreaded S M E A R test today. Bummer. But first MS on Sunday!
Great news about your OH handing his notice in Wendz.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Looks like Pizza Express is off the cards for today. Just remembered I'm booked at the hairdressers next week so that'll gobble up half this weeks budget as it is. Can't believe the style has grown out already, saying that I was chicken and didn't get it cut in at the back as much as I wanted. So I'm going to take a picture of Amelies hair from the back in and wave it around wildly.
Happy - My mum uses the boots diet thingy and she's doing really well on it! Lost 10 pounds in about 5 weeks, it's only a few pence a day and a great motivator. Plus you get advantage card points! Glad you're feeling better.
Tete - I think Oscar is the streets cat, either that or he eats a lorra lorra mice, he's a right tubster. There are granny houses behind me so I think that's where he must spend winter, curled up infront of an electric fire eating tinned fishies!0 -
I really enjoyed A&D Lara, don't listen to the snotty critics! I really want to see Drag Me To Hell, but going to try and do it on an Orange Wednesday, we've been slipping into the habit of going to the cinema on a weekend and even with my student card it comes to £12!!
Good luck later, just lie back and think of England! (At first I thought your MS was something to do with the smear - haha, would have to be a good fee to get people to do that!!)
ETA - ooohhhh I LOVE Amelie's hair Cinny! I'd love my hair like that but I've got big features and don't think the elfin look is really for me. I feel your pain with hair growing out quick though, I've cut my fringe twice since I was last there and it's still too long, even though my hair as a whole doesn't seem to be getting any longerWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

I read it the same! Thinking 'They want people to test drive a smear doctor?!'
I agree. A&D was fantastic! Haven't read any reviews though. If you're going to the cinema a lot Tete might it be worth while getting a cineworld card? (plus you get free garlic bread from Zizzis with it) Really want to see that Drag me to Hell too, looking forward to Tormented today though. Need to find out what cinemas are showing Everlasting Moments!0 -
We go through phases of cinema Cinny so I don't think it's worth the card, I have thought about it though. And there's no Zizzi near me! (And I love it too and they've always got a voucher out
)

I wish I could pull off the Amelie do too, I just like how it's cut in at the back with the massive wedge, want to keep the length at the front still. If I had smaller features (I have my Dads big nose) I'd love hair like the lead singer from Aplhabeat.
Me and OH go through cinema phases too, as long as we see 3 films a month (you know, really force myself to go and see the kids films over summer.) we'll be getting £4.50 movies, which isn't too bad. Just need to convince him chick flicks are fantastic. I mean, I went to see State of Play. It's only fair!
Happy - I'm sure you'll get there! Problem with diets is as soon as you say 'i can't have biscuits' your body thinks 'I'd ruddy love a custard cream!' I'm trying the chewing gum theory out, having some on the go while I'm watching telly makes me stop thinking about snacking. Knitting helps too, keeps your hands busy!0 -
well im now a dedicated excersiser lol well i try to be ......dad just purchased a treadmill a ruddygood one so im going to use that then if i do have a biscuit i dont feel so bad but i need to get in to new weight ground before i blow it all im 5 pounds off a new stone number heheI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Cinny - Yeah not long till the new baby (carwise) arrives. Due at dealers on 5th June.
Tete - Well Norwich Union told me to do it that way. The comparison sites are not clear. Some sites tell you just to put the time since your full license. Others will not allow you to put the no claims years in if it is shorter than the time you have heard your license so have to put it up for them. Very confusing. It is amazing how much the difference makes to the insurance quotes as well.
Re the scrappage thing although it is a bigger engine it is likely to be more fuel efficient than your current car. That was what sealed the deal for us about what to go for and the delivery dates.0 -
I would like to do cineworld deal but only have a vue near me
Work is dragging today!0
