    Hey hey

Ugh know the feeling on the wading through treacle. OD is back at nearly £90 with all future income already allocated! Also I could have had loads of MSs but you're only allowed one at a time as a probationer.

Oh well, swings and roundabouts. There was a mix up about a client party in work and it turns out I am not invited. I am quite relieved, but boss feels so guilty he is taking us all out for dinner after work tomorrow

I have been selling the first few crystals and they're going for around £2.50ish, plus listing a few more tonight. Hopefully cash will start to dribble in and help me get back on top of the £5 a day challenge.

Also we got some hopefully good news - remember a company collapsed owing OH £4k? Well they've advised the lawyer they should be making f&f offers next week - hopefully 50%. At least this would be something.

Dinah, did you have a think about what I posted on the deposit front? Saving a little less and getting a bigger mortgage, or buying a smaller place which you could extend in a few years, and really invest in? How about buying at auction, or buying a property that needs renovation? All ways of making your money go a bit further.

Sorry to hear about Amber's little leg, hope the christening is lovely ROTE. Well done Flower, and good luck for tomorrow!

We intend to buy a place that needs significant renovation, and auctions are on the table. I don't want to extend as I know large extensions don't add a similar value as having a larger place as generally you're still stuck with an odd layout ie going through one room to get to another. I don't know, I looked at the bank account today and basically it looks like I need to loosen £100 a month from the budget, maybe a little more in order not to be going overdrawn each month.

    Evening ladies!

I kept meaning to post, but I've been sat around all afternoon with various lotions and potions on my face trying to tame this outbreak god has decided to grace my face with. I think I've cracked it though.

The package was full of this posh spa bodycare bits Birdie, gave them too my Mum though (anti-ageing and I don't want to look 5) who's knocked £10 off of this weeks board, which is always welcome!

Going too Approved Foods tomorrow with my Mum. Wahey to cheapy food! Will try and get some treats for me and OH while I'm at his house this weekend.

Birdie - I can't really comment on what your OH does, I'm the same with the boys stuff when he's staying over :o It really winds him up because he can't find things, but I seriously don't notice I'm doing it. Saying this, it might be a bit of cabin fever. I only seem to 'tidy' (read throw out of sight) OH bits away when we've spent most of the day indoors. Hope you get it sorted out soon though! You shouldn't feel out of place in your own home.

Right, off to the land of nod! Well first, off to the land of Wuthering Heights for a bedtime read. Night everyone! I'll catch up tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks for all your kind words ladies re: Amber. This brace has a 90% chance in working and then it will be a full plaster cast, which of course I am hoping it won't come to. She is such a happy litle soul and an absolute joy, but apart from the first day she had it on it doesn't seem to bother her.

You've got to have hope! A little secret ambition is always a good thing - I daydream that we'll run away to NY to get married, or maybe Cuba or even Vegas!

I'm sure you'll do it if you set your mind to it Dinah - it would be a good MB target...
The next time I get married I want to do it in Vegas, we often talk about renewing our vows and would love to do it there. I wouldn't have chosen it when we were first married me being RC and all, but I would like to do it once I am DF.

Afternoon Flower! Glad to hear the exam went well! How many left to go?

I was a bit warey to post seeing how there wasn't a single post.. all morning. Very odd for us!

Managed to grab another Boots Magazine so 20p off my meal deal come Friday. Only £20 in my bank till Friday, moved about £100 into savings last week so at least I know where it's gone! No book or football wins today ): not a sausage from the Gu or Dorest Cereal websites either.

Have a nice afternoon everyone! Off to do todays quotes, joy of joys.

Hi everybody! It IS quiet on here today! I've been mega busy this morning either dealing with idiots or angry idiots, not fun at all. Just had another of our Whole School Meetings which are always so relevant for what our team does. In this one I drew a desert island, and Eiffel Tower and a snail.

Glad you've got another exam out the way Flower, any more left to do? (ETA - sorry, my slow typing!)

Lara, that's great news that your OH might be getting some of that money back, let us know what happens! Also great news about the free dinner!

Cinny, sounds like a good win and good to have £10 off your board - will that go into savings or will you treat yourself?

How's things with OH now Birdie?

And Dinah, hope you're feeling better about all things money today, has sleeping on it helped?

Ooh, must add that I made Cinny's Yummy Brownies again last night - third time I've done so and it's the only recipe that works every time for me and they're so delicious!

Well done Flower, how many exams do you have left?

I did think it was very quiet on here this morning!

Just had some good news as apparently my pay was meant to go up this month but they missed me off so they are going to to put the extra pay in next months paypacked backdated. Didn't think was getting my payrise till next month so that is good news that it will be earlier than expected and will be a nice bonus to pay packed next month
