So sorry to hear about your Granddaughter ROTE, is it a problem that'll get better with time? Hope you have a nice day Sunday.
Flower, good luck with your exam! Thats so sweet of you OH too. I'm sure you'll do fantastic!
What a shame about the wedding fair, double shame you didn't have room for cake!! I'd love £100 to tell a bride she should wear white  *sigh*
Just got a call from Mum to say there is a parcel at home, I haven't ordered anything, she says it's return address is MRM PO Box 504, which I've looked up and it seems to be a regular comping addressHaven't heard anything as to say I've won anything though. Thought it might be my football but she says it feels like cosmetic bottles. Lord knows! All excited to get home now. Trying to figure out what comps I've entered..
Dinah - I agree with ROTE, maybe a part time painter? Then when you've got the mortgage pinned you can slowly start making it full time?
Have a nice morning everyone!0 -
We'll have to see how it goes anyway, unlikely I could make any money at it in all reality, just a pipe dream.
A lot of companies don't email to tell you that you have won, they just send the prize, let me know what it is, I'm all excited for you Cinny!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

4 Hours until I can find out! Knowing me I'll get home and it'll be really really rubbish. Like a pair of socks or something, my mum is a bit wappy, they might of felt like cosmetic bottles too her.
Still think you should get on Etsy! A painter off of there (I think) has just had sets of postcards made to sell in Paperchase, so you never know!0 -
I didn't realise you could sell paintings on Etsy? Just thought it was crafted things?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Morning everyone! I'm totally shattered after my evening of rock n roll last night, even though it was very disappointing. He just played all these acoustic numbers nobody knows and it all just felt a little bit self-indulgent
Never mind though, I won another Galaxy book this morning so all's well with the world! I'm excited for you too Cinny, I wonder what it is!
Good luck with the exam Flower, I'm sure you'll be fine sounds like you've studied loads!
Did you have a chat with NIM last night then Dinah about the money situation? Any conclusions? I had a mild panic this morning thinking about money and all the things that need paying for. I'm ashamed to say I've eaten into my old OD a little bit and it needs nipping in the bud. I'm off to make a list ...
Hope everyone else is ok!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Morning! Ohh, exciting surprise parcels, let us know what it is Cinny!
I had just set off to work this morning when I got a phone call off my boss asking if I could work 2-10 to cover sickness so I had to turn round and go back home and now I don't know what to do with myself until 2! At least I get shift cover bonus though, £9!
Sorry to hear about your Grand-daughter ROTE, hopefully she won't have to wear it for long, the good thing about babies is that they fix themselves quickly!
Did I mention last week about the trouble we've had with the TV License people? I paid the license after we'd moved in but they sent us a letter last week saying we hadn't paid and that we'll be fined if we don't pay soon. OH rang them to say that we had paid and I had the e-mails from them to prove it but we're not recognised on their system (sounds about typical, soooooo sick of having a new post code now!) so they have no record of us paying and the guy was getting really shirty with OH saying that our address didn't exist... even though they've sent us a letter! How can our address not exist but they still want us to pay for a TV license in our 'ficticious' house? So stupid! Now I have to find a statement and send it to them to prove that we've paid it, what a palaver!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Sounds about right from the TV licence people Birdie, they'll believe your address when they're chasing you for money but strangely can't find it when you're trying to prove you don't owe anything!
Forgot to say ROTE, sorry about little Amber's hip. I'm sure you'll all have a fab day on Sunday though.Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hope you get it sorted Birdie! I wish I could help you, but seems like you've got it under control!
Yep, paintings seem to sell pretty well on Etsy, it's for all crafts, and painting is a craft! You just have to be careful with how you price them, that's all. Because of the $ pricing and what not.
Eugh, I don't like it when people play new music you don't know at gigs Tete! The crowd just stands there, not quite sure what too do. I think I might have to start entering the galaxy book comp, everyone seems to be winning!0 -
Speaking of Etsy, I'm quite annoyed as I bought something off there the other day for my friend's birthday in June (first time I've bought anything from there) and I really got the impression that the seller was Canadian for some reason, and thought it'll only take 5 days or so, but I got an email this morning to say they're shipping it from China and it'll take 15-20 days! Nothing takes that long these days does it? So my friend's pressie will be lateWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

That's a pain Tete! I've had things from China turn up in a week though, so you never know! Etsy is a pain that way, you're never too sure where things are getting shipped from. Hope it turns up soon!0
