That would drive me mad too Birdie - how does he expect you to tidy your stuff away when he's hiding it, you won't even know it's there! Grr! Far better to just leave it where it is and then you'll put it away in your own time.

Sounds like it is your book though, mine came really quickly I was surprised. I got 'Things I Want my Daughters to Know' Dinah, looks like a bit of a tear-jerker but I too already had 'The Memory-Keeper's Daughter' and have seen 'The Other Boleyn Girl'. I keep trying every day. Was trying and trying for a Mars ball too until I stopped and wondered what on earth I wanted a sports ball for!

    Hi everyone,

I am back! Had a really lovely time away. The weather was gorgeous , was really hot and sunny until the last day so we timed it perfectly. We didn't really do much except for sunbathe, eat a lot and generally relax although we did go on a boat trip one day although unfortunately didn't see any turtles which we were hoping to.

Hows things with everyone? I have read a few pages back but will take me a while to catch up.

Have some exciting house news of my own as me and OH are starting to look for a house. Originally my parents were going to get one and we would rent off them but turns out will be better for us just to do it ourself. have been to a couple of banks and they are able to offer us a mortgage so we will start looking very soon. Now that OH has got in police we might have a look at the keyworker scheme as well.
  • Yay on the house news wendz and great news about the key worker option, i havent looked into that but im a fair way oiff owning my own house so il just share ohs hehe xx

Exciting news Wendz. Glad you had a nice holiday too. Always better to buy than rent if you can afford it and it is long term. Short term rent is by no means dead money due to the current depreciation being significantly more than rent, however long term the security of owning your own home is very important to most people.

I just found the house plans for the 8 houses they are building in the next village over. I may well be in love. Sadly they may well all be well out of our price range!

Hi Wendz! Holiday sounds brill, just what the doctor ordered - it was Zante wasn't it? Would you recommend?

And great news about the house too, hopefully you might get a bargain! What's the keyworker scheme?

ETA- Dinah, why do I keep thinking you're talking about houseplants? Is it something Freudian??

Thats great news Wendz!! Sounds like you had a great time on holiday too, sounds lovely. Shame there weren't any turtles, when I went to Zante (yonks ago) if you got down to the beach early you go to see little baby turtles coming out of the sand and going into the sea!

After all this house talk I'm on rightmove, yet again!

Hi Wendz, nice to have you back and I'm glad your holiday was good! Are you lovely and tanned? Or are you like me and just turn pink?!
Calm down Dinah, breathe! I do have a pretty high threshold for taking rubbish until I blow, growing up with a very moody brother has taught me to take things in my stride and not to bother getting worked up about things, don't sweat the small stuff and all that!
I have decided to *try* to meet him somewhere in the middle. I'm going to sort out the spare room and get a basket for him to dump any of my offending things in and I'll sort it out and put it away as and when. I can't be doing with his current behaviour much longer without telling him he can live alone in his perfectly tidy house because I'm sick of him!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
