Our housemate has flipped from blasting classical music upstairs to heavy metal?! Looks like Lost will have an interesting theme tune.
Thanks for the MS thread tip Dinah - I nearly got an MS for today! But the closest yet :rotfl: I want to come out of the MS desert too Pilchard!
Birdie happy birthday for tomorrow! I'm off home to N. Ireland in the morning. Very excited now to see my new nephew, he's just a few months old and I haven't met him yet.
Good luck with all the NY planning ladies! I had 20 days holidays as well and it sucks. Part of my negotiation to go back to my old job was to get a bit more. Does NIM get time in lieu for overtime he works? That's how I built up some extra days painlessly.

Really need to get on with raising some funds for the savings for the move as OH is starting to get restless living here.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0

Happytogetdebtfree - i think you should do what feels right for you. I know alot of people (including martin!) would say always use savings to pay off debts, but i dont think thats always best for the person or situation.
I personally am trying to save about £3000 for OH and i to move 200 miles north. Those savings would almost pay all our debts off but we wouldnt be happy where we are and where we are living.
Guess i am just trying to say that as long as you can manage the debts i dont see the harm in putting some money into savings aswell, aslong as you dont have huge interest rates on your debts!!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
well all my loand end in 2012 well some end before the only things with high intrest are credit cards and well home owner loan but i figured we could sell the house and make some cash towards clearing the hol and the cards with high intrest i just would feel great been debt free but spending a few more years here with no savings to move would be too crap and your right i think id do what i think im saying xxxI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Whatever is right for you is what you should do Happy, as long as you're not adding loads to your debt and burying your head in the sand about it!
Just found out that my friend's twin brother (my age!) has finally been beaten by cancer. I'm feeling so sad, we've known it was going to happen since last autumn, but he seemed to go quickly at the end. Last December, after being told he was going to die he did the Coast to Coast challenge and raised over £70,000 for the Christies cancer hospital for young people in Manchester. I'm so proud of what he did and humbled, he did more in his short life than I'll plan on doing in 40 years!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
So sorry to hear about your friend Birdie. OH lost a family friend to cancer just before christmas, was awful to see how quickly he deteriorated. Unfortunatly he lost his battle within 4 months of being diagnosed.
You should all be very proud of the amount of money he raised for charity, sure he'll always be a very special part of all of your lives.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
I'm sorry too to hear about your friend, it is humbling what he did. One of my Dad's friends has just found out he's dying of cancer and that seems to have moved really quickly too. It's horrible as you get older more and more people seem to dieWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Its just awful to think that despite the amount of money put into research and scientific advances we have in the world today we still cant beat such a horrible disease.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0

Got to walk through town today on the way home from work today, the weather is rubbish so I can't use to vespa (plus I forgot my boots!) Will have to sprint, head down, to the bank to get my spends money the sprint quickly home! (alright, not sprint, just walk quickly)0
