yeah it was pretty reasonable was 270 each bed and breakfast. Could have got all inclusive for not much more but we quite fancied going out for dinner so suits us well.

Have you had a look at any yet?

    Hey NIM

If the good are faulty or 'not fit for purpose' then you have rights, receipt or not. I am really shocked that he even tried that rubbish on to you, and I'd kick up a big stink next time round that the staff don't even know the correct legislation. You can insist on a refund. Naughty Tesco!

Here's a link - maybe print this out and bring it with you?

It really annoys me when people in shops try it on like that.

Hey nice one on the holiday Wendz. Just sitting chilling in my jammies today. Bit of a hangover last night, but a very nice party.

Thanks for the link Lara, thats exactly what he was looking for.

Is anyone else doing the galaxy book giveaway daily? We won a book yesterday! Always exciting to get free books!

NIM is at the farm again, so I'm going to enter a few competitions while I have my breakfast, then look into doing a bit of painting if I can find my brushes. If I can't I'll do another drawing for a canvas I owe him and go get a couple of brushes in town tomorrow, as I need to go in anyway as he needs a replacement chain on his cross as the current one is turning his skin orange its so rusty!

    Hello all!

Well done on winning a book Dinah! I've entered loads (wipes the chocolate off my chin) and not won anything yet! Will try again now, wish me luck!

Staying in today as I had an expensive day yesterday shopping with my Mum (who shall be known as The Enabler from now on! LOL!). I still maintain that I got a lot for my money though as I was shopping in New Look and Primark- ooh, saw a t-shirt I thought Tete would like for Paris in Primark, it was red and had a hand holding a pen with the words 'J'aime la vie'! I also saw a t-shirt in Topshop with 'Vieux Paris' on, and that Eiffel Tower dress that Cinny had her eye on! Actually, there was a lot of Fenchy stuff about yesterday as I saw a lovely Thomas Sabo Eiffel Tower charm for a necklace, but it was £80! May have to save up for it as it was nice....

Using my Mum's Boots discount I got the Remington Spin Curl Dryer, it looks a bit scary but it promises nice waves so I'll be playing with it later! I'm a typical straight haired girl who'll do anything for curly hair, my Mum has curly hair and when she was my age she did everything she could to make it straight! Why are we never happy with what we've got?!?!

I'm happy that you've got your Holiday booked wendz! We still haven't sorted ours, can't decide on June or September! I wish I knew so I can start my pre-holiday body panic and go on a mad diet to shift my love handles!

I asked my manager at work for you today! The retailer is only obliged to give a refund if the product is faulty, if there is nothing wrong with it they dont have to - the way they get around the legislation is by putting signs up within the shop. If there are signs up stating this, they dont as that document suggests have to give a refund, so i would check if there is a visable sign.
If your still unsure just ask to see the compant policies and documents they hold as every store has one.
I know Lara about stores trying it on, but equally it is to protect the stores and customers are as much to blame for these policies being in place. You would be surprised the amount of uptight customers you getting trying to return something that has been worn or used. Can you tell i have had a bad day at work with the customers from hell?? Sorry to moan but we always get made out to be the bad ones!!

ETA : If it is faulty NIM definatly dont back down though!!

Wow, Dinah, you really are an inspiration!! Well done on getting debt free so quickly - I'd seen your thread but tbh the size of it put me off, but your long first post brought me up to speed.

    Good luck for the future!

I don't think we're scary, just very very chatty! Plus it was 500+ pages!

Oooh Birdie, was the topshop dress nice? Still haven't had a chance to go look at it yet! Had a very spendy weekend myself (no mother, I am my own enabler!) plus I went out for dinner with the boy twice (had my first bought in a pub drink, Pimms Rose! Didn't even get IDed which was shocking) I did behave though, got the 2 for £10 deals and what not for the meals. Right, off to have a wardrobe remix, feeling the need for new clothes I need to snip in the bud.

Have a nice Sunday evening everyone.

Thanks for the advice Flower and Lara. I'll clarify the situation though for both of you. The jumper is less than 2 months old and has been washed at most 4 times, its started to bauble really badly and is borderline unwearable due to all the little baubles on it. Its a cashmere jumper and its from the F&F line so its definitely a Tesco purchase. They dont have replacement jumpers anymore as they are out of stock/season or summat. And he is only offering me £10 without the reciept even though it cost me £20.

So do I need a reciept or do I have to accept the £10 as I would consider this a fault with the top. From what I've seen so far I think I'm right to go in and make enough of a fuss to get my £20 back. I dont want to move till i'm certain though cause I could end up on national news making things VERY difficult for tesco.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.
