Lol NIM @ national news. If that's the case I would definitely push for the full refund. How can he just offer you half without the receipt?! That's so random.
I would print out the link and show it to his boss. It's not like they're short of cash - wasn't their profit 3bn? Know what you mean tho Flower about people taking the mick. This lady wanted me to replace her vase as she had cracked it - 3 years after she bought it!
Hmmph - got to go and do the massive pile of ironing now. We need an ironing smiley, and a hoovering one. x:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
They've been telling me that they are not responsible for my phone being faulty that its the manufacturers responsibility to fix it. I'm not at all happy with Tesco at the moment, to the point that I'm thinking of finding a new supermarket and just screwing Tesco on their special offers. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

At work today some guy bought back a top he had bought a few days ago saying it didnt fit him, it stank of his sweat, cigerette smoke and had a stain where he had obviously spilled a drink down it. He tried telling me we had sold him it like that :rolleyes:yes of course you paid £20 for a top like that.
In that case NIM i would definatly push for a refund, if they dont i would say you are going to contact head office.

Was having a look through some posts on the board and saw this!!! Why is everyone so scared to post on here??!! We're not that scary are we??
Hi Flower08,
I dunno about anyone else, but the reason I found it a bit scary posting is cuz you seem like such a close group of friends now, that I didn't want to feel like an intruder. If that makes sense!
I guess it's like if you were at a party and saw a group of people chatting, and then went to join in. I'd feel a bit weird doing that if I didn't know them!

Just booked airport carpark so only need to get a few bits and money sorted now. Thankfully already started buying holiday clothes. I have been a bit naughty with my eating yesterday and today but will try and get on track again tomorrow, two weeks isn't much time but am more towards where i would like to be now so that good.
NIM - hope you get a refund0 -

Hi Zigmeister, i know exactly what you mean but i think this whole forum is like, in a good way as in everyone gets on so well with each other and they are all friendsbut it shouldnt stop you from joining in when you feel like it. Thats how we all get to know each other afterall.

NIM -Under the sale and supply of goods act the item must be "fit for purpose". However tesco man may be offering you £10 because they don't have another one to offer you and the jumper may have been reduced on their system to £10. Therefore your proof of purchase is to prove that you paid £20 and not £10. So the most he can now offer you is £10 unless you can find some proof, did you pay cash? This said I would still try and argue that the jumper is of poor quality.
Hope this helps.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳

I paid for it as part of a large group of items on my card so within the last 2 months. He is offering 10 as its been knocked to that on the system and I dont have my reciept anymore but to be fair who keeps a reciept for 2 months? And as they are not legally obliged to provide you with a reciept should that not work both waysThis was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

I would go along with the card bill as the proof if you can remember when it was and then try again. Their only arguement can be as to when you purchased not if you did as that goes without saying. Ask to see a manager and say that you will if you have to take it to trading standards. Ask when it was reduced as if it was not long ago you could use that in your favour.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
