NIM if you could prove when you bought it (ie bank statement) that might help, but if the item has been reduced im guessing thats why they wont refund the whole amount because they dont know how much you actually paid for it (if you see what i mean?)

I'd feel a bit weird doing that if I didn't know them!

I know what you mean, I felt odd posting on the thread at first, and that was in the early days! but you should post more because we're really very nice and you seem lovely too (I've been a lurker on your thread!) and ignore NIM, the biscuits and treats come straight to me :D

I hope you do get your money back for the jumper NIM! Supermarkets really do take the piddle so don't back down, looks like you've already been given tippy-top advice that I can't add too, I always back down with things like this (never listen to my own advice either it would seem!) so don't have a real clue.

Here's to another week I suppose! OH gets paid this week so it's joyful budget time, well us budgeting, him over spending and me tutting. He needs to save £300 towards his car insurance this month so we'll have to take full advantage of the Mr.Lewis deals!

I can print off my bank statement for the day as I paid for it on my debit card with a load of other items but I dont think that will work. However I am going to go in and raise hell over my phone that they kept telling me I had to go to the manufacturer with.

Morning all!Sorry I can't help re: the Jumper Saga NIM, I haven't a clue! Tesco can be really fussy about taking things back, a few years back I tried taking some vests back without the receipt (but the tags still on) and the woman would only give me £2.50 for them, after I'd paid £5 each! I spat my dummy out and took them home thinking that I might wear them after all- they're still in my drawer with the tags on! LOL!
Cinny, the Topshop dress was quite nice, not really my bag (I'm not so good with strapless, I've got nothing to hold it up!) but cute. Short though!
We went to a little Holiday show in the town hall on Saturday and picked up lots of posh honeymoon/ wedding abroad brochures, I grabbed one on my way out to look at as and when I got bored... it was a Sandals one and they have 'Swim-up Suites' in Jamaica, the pool comes up to the back door of the 2 story suite and you can have your own butler! How flash is that?!?! Not a clue how much that'll cost but will have to investigate! :D

Please stop encouraging him! He's like a dog with a bone once he gets started, and I don't want to be barred from Tescos!

Have about £18.50 of deals coming in May from them, that's really scary considering we only get petrol from them and a few bits for holiday. That'll go up by at least £2-4 yet as well as we still need more petrol before May.

I think NIM should have the cakes Cinny, you make your amazing ones all the time, I don't have the time atm so he goes cake-less. Men get all sad and wistful when they are cake-less.

The honeymoons sound amazing Birdie. Personally, when it's my time I'm gonna be lobbying for the Maldives.

Finished painting 3 in the NIM series. Think this one ('The First Kiss') is my favourite. Little unsure on what to do for the next one though!

I always wanted to go to the Maldives until my OH's best friend's parents (phew, that's a mouthful!) went last year and said it was lovely but boring! It is paradise but paradise can get a little dull after a few days! I know that we're supposed to just hole up in our room for the whole time but we're not really like that and would rather have lots to entertain us! Had a quick look-see to figure out how pricey the Jamaica one would cost but it is proving quite difficult as it only goes up to April next year but it looks like it'll be over £2000 each! Eeek! Maybe I'll have to lower my expectations! Well done on getting the paiting finished! I'd love to see what you've done!

Hm, Sounds fair! He can have the chocolate too, but I can have the biscuits right?

Well done on getting the painting done, I'd love to see some of your work too! Maybe not the NIM ones if they're too personal, but something pretty!

£2000 each isn't too bad going by what it is I guess Birdie, but if you've got to factor in food and flights ect after that, yikes! Would be a pretty idea though.

Going to Meadowhall tomorrow for the free Coraline movie so I'm going to drag my mum to topshop before hand to have a look at the pretty dress. Going out with OHs pal-ilos on Thursday so I have an excuse for a new dress (maybe not a £40 though! Is their sale instore now too?) purely for the sake of the boy though, can't have his friends thinking he's going out with a scruff, but whats a girl to do?
  • Hi NIM - great nickname by the way
    the laws really clear
Tescos have to be able to PROOVE that the item is faulty by your actions ie you boilee it - but i do mean proove - not guess that it might have been something you did

or refund you...and this is true for....wait for it...two years!
you have no idea how much stuff you can take back!
and putting up a sign saying its not so does not change the law
the other thing is - if you used your clubcard then the purchase and date are recorded on their system - and they can find the info - if they can be bothered - if they cant then thats their problem
    good luck

I love it when I start getting this kind of info. Keep your eyes on the northern news, you may hear about me yet.

I suppose £2000 isn't too bad, but I fear it'll be more like £3000 by the time we've got the type of room we want. The resorts are all inclusive though so no more will be spent on food. Ah well, will have to look around and maybe settle for a suite that isn't a fancy swimmy up one! *sob*
Cinny, Topshop are having a sale in store too so you might find something pretty for not a lot of money! I wasn't too impressed by the stuff there though, they seem to cater for waif like tall girlies, not girls like me with hips! I prefer New Look's range at the moment, cute summer dresses with little waists and big skirts- finally something that is flattering on me!
