my teeth are usually sensitive with a lot of things but have used these several times now and havent experienced any. have found they have lifted staining off the teeth and made them that little more whiter0

Excellent news.
And very generous from enlighten. They wont even send my practice free gels, and we order £100's worth of whitening kits from them so Well done!
hopefully that should do the trick and you should find u have plenty left over for top-ups.0 -
And a good end, hopefully, to this sorry tale.
Its certainly opened my eyes to all that can go wrong even when being careful
The number of offers of teeth whitening on Groupon worries me, after a bit you manage to work out why each one is cheap- eg chair whitening where you will probably have to fork out extra for the trays which we know now are essential or else it isnt dentists doing the whitening. Etc etc.0 -
i;ve heard awful things about these, i don't get the fascination with scary white teeth!0

It is going to cost me about £300 and thought these might save me some money.
Have you signed up with citydeal, livingsocial, etc? I'm on a bunch of those voucher deal mailing lists and they regularly have deals for professional whitening. I'm in Ireland and I'd say the average cost for the voucher is about €89. So you could get it done professionally for much less if you shop around.0 -
Professional? Or a beauty therapist with one hours training working from a hotel or beauty salon? Again illegal (first prosecution has just taken place, more in the pipeline) risky ( many have been using very corrosive chemicals causing permanent damage.)
Be very very careful and check it is a dentist not a "whitening technician" " whitening profession" or other misleading title doing the treatment.0 -

They tend to be a about 50/50 as far as I can see. But quite a few of the vouchers are for actual dentists. Perhaps tooth whitening is cheaper in Ireland anyway? Private dentistry is much more common here as we don't have an NHS and as a result private dentistry here can be cheaper than in the UK as everyone but those on social welfare must go private.0 -
I am going on holiday to the states soon so could buy some while I was there so they would be the real thing. Brook2jack and toothsmith, would you say they were ok to use knowing they were the genuine thing.
Buy Listerine strips - a bit cheaper and easier to use. No sensitive gums afterwards. I use them about every three months, having stocked up in the US.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.
(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)0 -

You can get listerine strips on amazon. I was looking at these. Are they any good.Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance....0 -
Hi, i use crest whitestrips, and i did buy them off ebay!
They were the real thing as i rang up to check with crest themselves!
I would definitely recommend to anyone. They do a much better job than toothpastes or baking soda! Even after the first strip i noticed a difference... my boyfriend is now hooked on them too!! I have bought them off the crest uk website before (google it), and they have a really good service (even doing tutorials on youtube). Some times there is a little sensitivity but just use sensodyne toothpaste and this goes away!0
