They're illegal in this country, so any source you have for them can only be dodgy.

    I would not recommend them.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
  • Just from the crest.co.uk site so not dodgy but they come from America

Couldn't find crest.co.uk only crest.com, and that didn't seem to have the facility to sell them, just product information.

So I repeat, they are not legal in this country, anyone sending them to this country is illegally exporting them, and anyone buying them is illegally importing them.

Crikey, I've read forums where loads of people in the UK use them. I just checked the site and it is a .co.uk crestwhitestrips. I haven't used it as I was given some from a friend to try.

People in the UK do use them, but they contain more than the maximum peroxide allowable by EU safety regulations.

The site you mention is not an official Crest site, but just someone selling them illegally. It does look quite convincing though.

You originally asked me if I would recommend them.

    No - I would not.

Ok thanks. I honestly thought that site was Crest, I will definitely be more aware in the future.

Unfortunately many sellers of illegal whitening products use a legit companies name and the .co.uk ending. However most of the more notorious ones have servers based in Bulgaria and other overseas countries making it difficult to prosecute them for selling illegal products. Needless to say they have absolutely no connection with the legitimate companies. NB there is no crest company it is a division of proctor and gamble.

It is strictly illegal to sell any of the crest whitening strips in the uk as they all contain an illegal amount of hydrogen peroxide. Many e bay sellers falsely advertise the strips as containing a legal amount but unless they are counterfeit all crest strips contain illegal conentrations of hydrogen peroxide.

So anyone selling these products is knowingly breaking the law and is it a good idea to put inside your body chemicals provided by an illegal business? Here is the owner of the crest white strips business admitting he is breaking the law. NB there have now been many prosecutions of such businesses http://www.justanswer.com/uk-law/3xqzj-uk-website-www-crestwhitestrips-co-uk-technically.html
