There is no such thing as a teeth whitening expert unless they are a dentist.
A "teeth whitening expert" will have spent a couple of hours with a salesman and gained a worthless piece of paper purporting to be a qualification.0 -
An 'expert tooth whitener' is either a dentist or they are illegal. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
I occasionally brush my teeth with a sprinkle of baking soda on the toothpaste. It's just important that you don't this every day or very often, because the soda might weaken your tooth enamel.0

Baking soda acts as an abrasive. So if overused it will wear tooth away permanently. Best not used if you have sensitive teeth as it will make things worse.0

Only if the dentist has examined you, the trays and supervised the first application. So you will pay the price of a check up , the whitening syringes and any x rays necessary. You can't just buy the syringes over the counter without an examination. Normally charge around £10 ish for a syringe.
Of course all of this is subject to your friend having oral health good enough for tooth whitening to be appropriate and subject to the trays still being an excellent fit.0 -

Tooth whitening gels are not available direct to the public legally. Therefore any product you get from the internet will have come to the market in a very 'indirect' way.
You will hsave no guarantees on how it has been sourced, how it has been stored, how old it is, or even if it is what it says it is on the box.
If you're lucky, it might be harmless, if you're unlucky it could be a dangerous fake!
How much of a risk do you want to take with your teeth?
Plus - once done, they really shouldn't need much 'topping up' and getting it from the dentist allows him to keep tabs on it, and make sure you're not overdoing it.How to find a dentist.
