It is illegal to sell these products in the UK or the EU.
Yes they are available in the US and you can buy them on line but you have no idea whether they are a fake product with harmful chemicals or not. There have been many fake dental products sold online which have caused problems.
Here is a link explaining the law.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1304856/Online-alert-toxic-tooth-whitening-kits.html0 -
My exs have been legitimate. I bought the first off amazon, then they were pulled, funnily enough after mentioning so on a thread here (I wonder?) perhaps you may be able to buy internationally?0

Amazon, ebay etc will no longer advertise these products because it is illegal to sell them in the UK or EU. Many people have been harmed by counterfeit products.
Which led the campaign last year to make sure the law was enforced and no more people harmed.0 -
There are loads on ebay.Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance....0

Read the link above. Ebay said it would co operate and stop sellers but it was difficult to police .http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1304856/Online-alert-toxic-tooth-whitening-kits.html
You are buying a product that you have no guarantee is safe or is even what it claims to be. You are putting it on one of the most sensitive parts of your body. You will be buying from people who know it is illegal to sell what they are selling in this country or the EU. Does this really seem like a good idea?0 -

Ex has never had problems. Buy from abroad if in doubt.0
-
So buying from abroad guarantees you will not buy a harmful or counterfeit product? The Internet is full of scamsters, and as it is illegal to sell or import these products into the UK legitimate sources will be few.
It's great that your Ex has had no problems but Which and trading standards have been inundated with people who have had permanent damage ,hence Which campaigning on the issue last year.0 -
Perhaps he/I were more discerning.
