Have a look at the tooth whitening thread on here.
General Dental Council's position on salon whitening0 -
Thanks, threads a bit long to go right through. I don't believe there is only one place to get it done, and that's the dentist. I don't particularly like my dentist so I wouldn't go there.

I think Glasgow is a special case. Taking the time to read that whole whitening thread would indeed be a significant proportion of your life expectancy.
With the amount of tabs smoked, and Irn Bru & alcopops drunk, it really doesn't matter who whitens the teeth, as the teeth are not there long enough to make it matter.
Also - people there generally don't live long enough to sue people doing illegal whitening either!!How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
i can assure you my teeth are being bleached, and my dentist is male although i saw a female to get a crown replaced.I would imagine that some dentists would do anything to get an extra pound
If you cannot offer advice why do you come on the page advertising as a dentist0 -

No one is 'advertising' as a dentist - I doubt you could find any information which would lead you to be able to actually find out where we are and make contact with us in order to become a paying customer.
It is this annonymity that enables us to give fully impartial advice. Even so - you're quite right that we may NOT be dentists - which is why it would be very silly to take any specific advice on treatments - even if we did give it!
The advice to you is that no-one can tell you what is best to whiten YOUR teeth other than YOUR dentist. That is excellent advice, freely given, yet you don't seem to be able to appreciate that.
The more this goes on, the more intrigued I am as to why you don't feel able to ask your dentist these questions? How to find a dentist.

Write down your questions before you go. Things always go out of your head in the heat of the moment.
Remember that you're spending a lot of money on this, and it's important that you're satisfied with the results.

Ahh - well if you then intend to leave that fair city, it would be worth spending the extra to get it done properly, as your teeth may well have to last you more than a few years! How to find a dentist.

Hi
Also i know that crowns etc do not whiten
My daughter recently had a crown replaced and was advised by her dentist, not to have her teeth whitened because of this. He is a Harley Street dentist and my daughter is a presenter on tv.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
