Another day. Back to work today :(

Nothing much happening in the bank account which I suppose is a good thing.
Last night's pork dinner concoction was nice andI have a portion in the freezer to take to work tomorrow night.
Today the masses can fend for themselves from the freezer and I am going to make couscous, pot salad and use the left over watercress from the risotto.

I was looking at how much I have managed to pay off the loan in such a short amount of time, and am trying to think of some more ways to pay off a bit more quickly.
I really want it under 1k.
  • Hi Yukkibear, you're doing great with the loan, the progress you've made in a short space of time is fab!!

I just had a quick MB question for you... I wondered if you used your every day current account for it, or if you opened another one dedicated to MB's? I tried to open another current account with my bank but it was declined (due to my poor credit score I'd imagine) so I doubt I'd get one anywhere else.

Just wondered what you did as most folks on the MB forum tend to have a separate account.

I have always just used my own. I know a lot of people use a separate one. I don't do it enough to worry about using my own I don't think.

Think I'll just use my own one too - my spreadsheet is regimental enough that I will be able to keep track of what is coming and going from my bank account.... I hope!! :o

I paid £11.04 off my loan this morning. Had £21.04 profits come in from a matched bet but I messed up on a bingo offer yesterday so have to leave some of the profits to offset the loss which is a shame.

I've been working out xmas presents and how much they are going to cost. Yes I know it's still August but it's all about thinking ahead and I know what I have got to chuck at which pot etc.

I need to start next year with no debt for my own sanity.

Don't worry I have started thinking about xmas too. Going to save all my amazon vouchers for that now and we also save our change pot up for xmas.

Well done on yet another payment, it's getting even closer to that magical half way mark already - and only 4 or 5 months in I think? Well done.
I too am trying to be a bit organised for Christmas for a change - already got stuff from the fabulous Boots 75% off sale in January! And all my free scratchcard money has gone into a wee pot for the rest and for stocking up in this 2010 Jan sales for 2011. Now I do sound scary!
Just thinking YB, if you are paying interest on OH's overdraft would you not consider a zero percent c/c to pay that off and your Comet loan if it has interest on it, to save a few pounds there? Just a thought.
