Yes Prim started April and first payment started in May on direct debit so only 4 and a half months in. I am really pleased when I look at it like that.
I did talk to OH about getting a o% card but he wasn't keen for whatever reason. It'll be gone soon, I can't be doing with quibbling with him over a card. I'll just chalk it down to lesson learnt I think.

I have a few quid in Amazon vouchers so far and was going to buy a wii game but might see if I can keep saving them for xmas towards OH's present.

I'm going to try and do all my shopping online this year to get some cashback. As soon as Boots start their 3 4 2 on xmas gifts then I'll look there. Also been looking at the Argos toys that are on 2 for £15. Can save a bit there as long as I can't find them cheaper elsewhere.

Think I'm going to make a risotto to take to work tonight.

Oh almost forgot, I viewed my electricy bill online this morning. A couple of months ago I got through to OH and dd1 about the importance of turning plugs off, not leaving PC on overnight etc. I looked at my consumption for the last quarter compared to the same time last year and we have almost halved our consumption which is great news. I can't wait to show him. Hopefully he'll see that if we keep it up our bills will reduce eventually.
Trouble with our bills are that BG underestimed our dd so badly when we moved in that we always seem to have a debit balance. That reduces with every quaerter though and the amount is in my budget now so anything it reduces by in the future is all extra for us which is all good news.

Oh and my bingo mistake yesterday has tracked for cashback. I wont expect it to pay out but if it does it'll be a bonus.

I've just done this weeks shop online with Asda (never tried their home delivery before), and I struggled to spend £50 which is amazing. I followed my list and meal plan so I'm hoping it all comes ok and we have enough food for the week.

Well done on the food shopping, that is really good. We always seem to spend over 50 whatever we buy!

My Dad has got one of these things that tracks how much electricity you are using, is fascinating watching it. It jumps up loads when you have the washing machine on and stuff.

Is that an OWL Wendz? I was thinking of getting one of those, but didn't want to buy sone just yet. And I was worried I might become a bit obsessed by it lol

 hello yukkibear, we've recently started using asda online instead of Tescos and (as much as I hate to admit it, OH prefers Asda, I prefer Tescos!!) they are much cheaper. I'd even go as far as to say that we're getting around twice as much stuff for roughly the same money.

I got an electricity monitor from Maplin for about £7 and at first was a bit obsessed about it too! The kettle shocked me and spurred us all on to just boiling what we need and not a full kettle every time. I think it encouraged everyone to be a bit more aware.

I think I will get one, but just not yet. One thing at a time and all that.

Thanks CWC I'm really hoping they are good on their delivery etc. For £50 I cannot grumble and there seemed to be loads on my list. Time will tell this time next week when I will have either spent more money in the supermarket or not.
I did like the fact that their delivery charges are a lot lower than Tesco though.

I just made a sausage risotto to use up all the left over watercress and rice. I tasted it and I want to eat it now and not tonight lol
