My £3k challenge

Probably Jellie lol. I love crackling too we had that with the roast on Sunday.
We went to a local working farm today, not a lot there but it's donation only to go in and there are a few animals, lots of play areas and walks to do, so we took a picnic, played in the park and went for a walk in the countryside. MIL came with us and she paid a donation and bought us a coffee and cake so we didn't spend a penny :j. That's two day trips without spending now which is great.
It was my nephew's birthday today and I bought him a present but used nectar points towards it so only spend £6 on present, card and wrap so that was good.
If the weather is nice tomorrow then we're going to the beach so hopefully another free day out.
My OH was playing around with his camcorder today which he loves doing. His is a bit old now and I would love to get him a new one for xmas, but the one I want is around £200. Not sure if I can squeeze that extra out of anywhere but I'm going to try.0 -
We've been down the beach today and it was lovely and hot. Only spend around £7 on ice creams and bucket and spade for dd2.
Had a nice surprise when I got home from an egg savings account that I emptied wheN i bought the car. It still paid the annual interest on the account so I have withdrawn that and will pay off the loan when it reaches my account as it's money that I wasn't expecting.
Going to put some pork chops on the bbq lol0 -
Sounds like a lovely day down the beach, wish I could enjoy the weather instead of being stuck in an office. Am off next week but bet it isn't as nice then!
What a nice surprise about the account, that will be some nice money to go on the car loan0 -
Hi yukkiebear, the beach sounds lovely! Thanks for the encouragement too. I do have a diary but I am not updating all that much - bad me!Grocery Challenge: target 400: so far spent 247

Maybe you should motivate your self by daily posts vodka. I find it helps me.
OH is doing the loft today when dd2 goes to nursery, so I may find some bits for ebay you never know.
Waiting for miles to clear on Dooyoo to request a cheque.
Off to do the food shopping this morning when OH gets back, but I've lost my shopping list! I wrote it according to a meal plan, was doing really well and now I can't find it. Will have to hunt around.0 -
Well of course the list was under the sofa! Where else would it be.0

I've adjusted my signature slightly because I hope by seeing ALL the debt it might helps me crush it slightly.
It's all still under £3k so I'm ok with that, but obviously would like it gone. The comet and the car loan will take care if itself every month but the overdraft is sitting in a dormant account and of course goes up slightly with interest every month. I do wonder how long or when the bank will go Hang on a minute and whip the overdraft away. If that happens we'll have to find the money to clear it straight away to avoid the interest charges.
I've also just listed all money coming my way and it's over £100 so that's good, hopefully can keep bringing the extra in and chip away quickly at it.0 -
Well done for how far you've come, you're doing so well! Its a good idea to list all the debts, will keep you focused, and I'm sure you can wipe them in no time! xMortgage when started (Dec 2013): £157,272.50
Current mortgage (date): £156,885.56

Well shopping came in £10 under budget which was fab and we also bought a massive box of baby wipes for a fiver so shopping would have been even less, but we couldn;t pass up that offer.
I received £20 from phones 4 u this morning for complaining about having to send my phone back and be without one so that's a good help. Also got £21 from recycling a phone. That will all help my bank account.0 -
I couldn;t resist rounding my account down and paying £3.36 off my loan lol
Off up in the loft to have a sort out whilst dd2 is at nursery. We'll see what we find.0
