I was quite good with my planning of meals Primula and then one week I let it slip and never quite got it back.
I did good this morning though and made some potato salad, couscous and cooked a marinaded chicken breast and picked some tomatoes from the greenhouse and made my dinner. I was worried I would have gone to the shop so am proud that I managed not to spend any money.

Re the matched betting, I have done some before, mainly the easy offers, so now I need to look into it more.
I would suggest reading the threads at least three times until you understand it and then do a small one (with a small bonus) so you don't waste the big bonuses to make sure you understand it before you risk bigger money.

There is plenty of help around for it and I'll help you both any way I can.

I have started my meal planning for next month. I am going to come up with 22 different meals for 32 days and repeat a couple of them. I was given a £10 off a sainsburys shop as I haven;t ordered online for a while so will time that over payday, spend over £100 and get free delivery and then see how well the planning lasts me. During my week off I am going to make some meals that I can freeze into portions to take to work.

Only at meal number 7 at the mo lol, need to spend some time on that, but working solidly the next two days.

Posted two ebay parcels this morning, but have let my listings slide so need to do something about that poss this weekend.
Have next week off so hope to have a bit of a relax and recoup my energy levels lol.

Two manky late shifts ahead of me today and tomorrow, but when they're done, I can breathe.

Nothing for dinner today, the cupboards are looking scarily bare but the freezer has plenty so I refuse to buy any more and waste money we don't have. I managed to make pasta salad with hot and spicy chicken and bacon. Looks quite nice, am getting quite inventive and praying I don't spend too much.
  • Good luck with the meal planning yukkibear, I only ever manage to do a week at a time so hats off to you for trying to do it for such a long period!

I think I'll get my ebay listings done, and then maybe have a look into the matched betting again at the weekend. I did read over the thread a few times a few months back but then got sucked into uni stuff and didn't want to the the matched betting half heartedly incase I made a mistake!

Will probably ask your help and advise along the way if you don't mind! Do you have to have much money to start off with? I've read people saying they have a few hundred to begin with, not sure if I could come up with that at the mo!!

Well done with your meal planning. Mine is just at the in my head "I really must sit down and meal plan and do a shopping list" stage! Really need to get my head round it though.
Think the next time OH complains he is bored, I will tell him to read the matched betting thread, it might be something he could try. Your lunch and dinner sounds yummy so enjoy.
Getting quite excited here - one day til pay day! LOL

That's fine cwc, ask away. I would say you need a bit to get started but even so read it, understand it, play with the spreadsheet matcher so you know exactly how much you need to stake etc and then go from there.

As for the meal planning, I'm always saying h yes we'll have blah blah but why are we always runing out of money from the food account? I have no choice but to write it all down this time and stick to it to at least see if it makes a difference.

Need to do a very basic shop this morning, want to spend as little as poss.

We're going out for dinner tomorrow night, can;t afford it but both want and should go so we're going, will just have to keep it as low as poss.

    Still here till 10pm :(

Meal planning has taken a slight diversion. Ages ago my Dad asked me if I wanted half a pig as they regularly get them. The meat is so nice as it's all organic, all comes portioned etc and I said yes and forgot about it.
Anyway it's ready tomorrow! So that's going to fill my freezer and then some. Pork recipes anyone?

I did a super shop today for £27 though was quite pleased although if I had known I wouldn't have bought any meat lol.

Oh an have looked up the restaurant we're going to tomorrow and it's a set price buffet so that's a good start, and I know roughly how much we'll spend so not too bad.

Got to pay for half a pig now though!

About to go and send off dd's phone to be recycled so hopefully a cheque will arrive from them soon. Also have one ebay parcel to post. Then it's back to sort the freezer before going to collect the half a pig.

Pork for Sunday dinner in your house?! Sorry, got no ideas for meals with it, but I'm sure it will be lovely, a proper pig, not a pre-packed one from the supermarket! LOL. Enjoy
