    11/2/13 Order placed
    13/2/13 Jiffy bag arrived
    14/2/13 Sent via freepost delivery
20/2/13 Emailed customer services to check order status
21/2/13 Order details says still awaiting phone

Starting to worry now as the price for the phone I sent has dropped by 50% on the website and the 14th day draws near!

    24/2/13 Still nothing.
25/2/13 Customer Service emailed to confirm that the phone has arrived. Order status remains as awaiting phone. Now have to wait for phone to be tested and approved.
28/2/13 Confirmation that phone is in working order. Now awaiting payment!
04/03/13 Payment processed and paid into bank! Full amount, no troubles...
    Started comping April 2014
    2017 Wins: £50
  • 7/3/13 - Agree price
19/3/13 - Emailed them to ask if they've sent the envelope out.
20/3/13 - Reply to say send to Freepost address instead
20/3/13 - Envelope arrives - they forgot to put postage on it, so I had to pay £1.69 and have to drive 5 miles to get it.
20/3/13 - Tell them that it has arrived. They send a £5 gift voucher as compensation.
    21/3/13 - Send phone back
26/3/13 - Call to find out if it arrived and told it was being tested.
27/3/13 - Told phone is OK, but offer dropped by £50 since I missed the 14 day deadline.
    27/3/13 - Email to complain.
2/4/13 - No reply, so phone and told tough.

Have requested phone back. I wonder if they'll put any postage on it.

    Never again.

Just checked price for a Samsung Galaxy S2(new model 9100P). They did not have the new model on their site so accepted the offer as per general S2 price of £92.27

07th August 2013 22:02 hrs -- Logged into online account and registered the recycling order.(Online offer is £92.27)

Will keep you posted.. I have had a phenomenal turn around(4 days to confirmation and another 3 days to payment) last time(6 months back) lets see whether they still keep up with their service levels
Will update dates and time as it progressess
    :beer::beer::beer:
  • I recycled 2 phones, experience with Tesco (who offered me GBP 40 more than rest):
    1. samsung phone through Tesco
08/08/13 - registered with Tesco and requested recycling envelope.
09/08/13 - received label, etc from Tesco to send phone
    12/08/13 - I posted 1st class recorded (I paid the postage)
13/08/13 - Royal Mail tracking showing delivered
14/08/13 - Tesco email to confirm receipt
15/08/13 - Tesco email to confirm phone passed their checks
16/08/13 - Tesco email to confirm payment arranged with take 4 days
20/08/13 - Money in my account

    2. HTC phone through O2 recycle
10/08/13 - register with O2 recycle and print out labels, etc
    12/08/13 - I posted 1st class recorded (I paid the postage)
13/08/13 - Royal Mail tracking showing delivered
13/08/13 - I receive email from O2 mid morning confirming receipt of phone, it had passed checks and payment arranged
13/08/13 - close of business day I had the money in my account

If you are looking for speedy payment go to Mazuma (used them before and fast) or O2 (as above seem just as quick as Mazuma). If you are offered more from Tesco and can wait, then give them a go but make sure you send recorded.
  • After looking around, I saw that Tesco Mobile Recycle were offering a much higher price than most other recycling websites.

I made a huge mistake in using them.

The phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) was sent on the 23rd of October 2013, along with my mum's. She has recieved an email telling her that her IMEI doesn't match the original phone, the model is wrong, and various other excuses. She has been lucky enough to manage to make contact and ask for the phone back.

I however, am still being told my phone hasn't been recieved. These phones were in the same bag, so where is the excuse? I am shocked by the fact that such a big name company would treat anyone like this. I have emailed customer services and all they can come up with is 'the phone must have been lost in the post'.
HOW CAN IT BE LOST IN THE POST IF ONE IN THE SAME BAG ARRIVED?!

I really hope that nobody else makes the same mistake I did. Use a well known brand such as Mazuma or envirofone, because the service is absolutely sh*t.
  • The T&C's state that they will only honour their quotes for 14 days, I am still waiting for the mail bag 11 days after logging my phone with them....
  • I sent in my phone on Thursday 11.12.2014 and was delivered by Special delivery on Friday at 0932 but even today 15.12.2014 the weborder status says awaiting phone.
This is thge fisrt time I have used Tesco website and will never be using again. rang thge customer services and they are unable to give any time for the order to be processed
