When did you send yours? I haven't received any updates from them yet. Planning to call them tomorrow.
i posted mine 12/11 special delivery, it arrived on the 15/11 according the royal mail tracking site. I have received no confirmation mail that they received the phone.
mailed Sir Tel 2 days ago, and got this response:Thank you for your email which is receiving our attention..
Regrettably, due to the adverse weather conditions experienced over the past few days, it may take a little longer to respond to your query than normal.
We are very sorry for this delay and will contact you again as soon as possible.
Kind regards

Have they got frostbite that they can't type an email :rotfl:
I didn't get a confirmation email from them that they'd received it, just knew by the royal mail website that it had been signed for.
This annoyed me a bit, as before you send the phone they send lots of emails to you then after its sent, you hear nothing!0 -
Lol very problematic this one,
Sent iphone via special deliver on the 22 November and it arrived on the 24th, no confirmation email.
Sent multiple emails to support@tescomobilerecycle.com ..no replys.
Sent emails to the main support at Tesco website...automated response saying that they were unable to answer due to the snow, followed up the next day with another email which was totally irrelevant to my question.
Called multiple tesco helplines to try to find out whats going on but none of them had any idea, one had never even heard of tesco mobile recycle!
Emailed info@greenersolutions.com (ZonZoo) today and will keep you updated if they bother to reply at all

Good news!
Just got an email from zonzoo saying that they have received my phone(i shipped it on Mid Nov- Don't have the post office receipt with me atm) and due to courier company backlog in Scotland, it's taking longer for them to ship the gift cards. As an alternative they have now offered to bank transfer the credit!
FYI, the email was flagged as spam by gmail so it might be a good idea to check your spam folder.

To Kodbel, Shockstump & Others
Please read my thread dated 24/11/2010. I have had the similar issues.
I would advise you to call them directly on 0208 274 4040. The company name is Greener Solutions (www.greenersolutions.com). ZooZoo is just their trading name.
The sad part of this whole thing is that people will continue to fall in this trap and this saga would continue to go on and on unless and until Tesco snaps the ties with this company.0 -

Don't know about others, but I am getting good progress updates from them. I got an email confirmation from Zonzoo today, stating that they have received my phone and the gift card is on the way. It's contradicting the previous email they sent me (which looked very unprofessional- poorly written) but at least I haven't had to call them to chase for it yet.
I used Tesco mobile recycling before (last year) the service back then was lot faster. Tesco need to sit with Zonzoo to have a serious chat0 -
Oh my I wish I had read this thread before sending off my iPhone to them.
Sent 10/1/11 via special delivery, received next day. I rang them using the 0845 number on their website rather than using the email to see what was going on this was on 25/1 and was told that my phone had been processed on the 18/1/11 and that an email should have gone out to me automatically, she said she would send me another one. Never received this instead received another padded envelope from them.
Rang again on 31/1 (got lady's name this time) and was told it would be posted out to me that day. Still no sign so rang them the following Monday (7/2 and was told they were awaiting delivery of gift cards which would be there that week.
Well I rang them again yesterday as getting so pi**ed off now and she told me in her words that 'it would be sent today' so I replied 'you said that 2 weeks ago' she replied back 'it will go today and you will receive it tomorrow', meaning today.
Well guess what no blooming gift card. She is telling me lie after lie and they are also in breach of their website as it states something along the lines of you receiving your gift card within 10 working days of the phone being processed.
I'm getting the feeling of being fobbed off all the time and I'm sick of it now. Please can someone PM me the address or phone number of Sir Terry Leahy and also the address of Tesco HO as I'm going to lodge a formal complaint.
Many thanks.0 -
I too am having exactly the same trouble. Told yesterday that they had ran out of gift cards but promise it would come tomorrow. If it doesnt I will be threatening them with legal procedings for breach of contract.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:0

I sent a phone to Tesco in February of this year. It wasn't hugely valuable, only worth £10 and 200 green clubcard points, but still that's not bad for an old phone that had previously been sat on a shelf collecting dust. I actually got my confirmation that the phone had been received and was working pretty quickly. It was the getting my giftcard and points part of the process that was the problem. It took me two months, two emails and the threat of making a formal complaint before a gift card was sent to me. Naturally I thought the matter was resolved. Unfortunately however when I came to use the giftcard I discovered that there wasn't any credit on it! I have since sent two emails of complaint and have not even received the courtesy of a response!
I am absolutely furious and feel that I have been the victim of a con. Because the name Tesco was attached I naively believed it was a reputable and trustworthy scheme. I am very sorry that I did not read this thread before I sent my phone off because it would have saved me a lot of hassle.
I strongly urge people not to use this service. It has been nothing but trouble for me and clearly a lot of other people too.
In the mean time I shall continue to pursue my £10 with the same vigour that Tesco would use if I walked out of their supermarket without paying for £10s worth of shopping!0 -
I see the last postings on this one are now over 6 months old, so am happy to update with my recent experience.
I sent off a good condition Nokia phone to Tesco Mobile Recycling (20:20 Mobile) as they were offering the best price at the time (£45 - I noticed that shortly after my phone was received that generous price dropped to around £20 on the website in line with the normal price at other sites - although of course my price was fixed for 14 days).
I took the Clubcard points option - had the phone been worth more I might have chosen an alternative recycler given that there is a £5 admin fee to get the phone back if they decide it is not in good condition and offer you less than promised as a result.
I ordered the envelope for the phone on 16NOV11, posted the phone off via Freepost with certificate of posting 18NOV11, got an email confirming receipt 21NOV11 and a second email confirming that the phone had passed the condition check and the payment value on 22NOV11. The Clubcard points showed up on my account on 3DEC11.0
