    I chose TescoMobileRecycle.com because they were paying slightly higher amount than others. So I applied online. Got their pre-paid envelope about 4-5 days later. Sent my phone in that envelope the next day by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. However, since then I haven't had any communication whether they have received my phone or not. Its been more than a week now. Since they don't have any contact phone number on their website, I submitted my query online twice. But no response so far. Yesterday I sent an email to them at [EMAIL="support@tescomobilerecycle.com"]support@tescomobilerecycle.com[/EMAIL]. But as of writing this now, no response as well. I am wondering how do I contact them.

    This really a bad experience. I wasn't expecting from a company as reputed as Tesco. :(

    Oh my god !! It took me so much pain to get hold of the phone no. of Tesco Mobile Recycle. After doing a lot of googling and speaking to various Tesco Companies (Tesco Customer Services / Tesco Mobile / Tesco Greener Living etc.) I finally got the number for Tesco Mobile Recycle.

    To cut it short, basically Tesco Mobile Recycle is being handled by a company called Greener Solutions (www.greenersolutions.com)

    So got the number from their website (its 0208 274 4040). The lady (Ms. Marile) told me that they have received my phone and the gift card should have been sent to me by now but they haven't. She said that she would find out why it hasn't been and will give me a call back.

    Its a bit relief that finally I could speak to someone and that my phone has been received by them. Now just waiting for their call. If I don't hear from them in the next two days, I will give them call back.:)
  • I'm in the same boat now. They won't answer my emails and its been well over 2 weeks since they got my old phone.

  • Just an update here for anyone thinking of using Tesco Mobile Recycling. I had to email Terry Leahy in the end. No response from the man himself, but a very nice and helpful lady helped me sort this mess out.

    I had the vouchers the very next day, sent special delivery. She is looking into why it took so long to sort out.

    My advice... if you are awaiting vouchers from Tesco, then email Sir Terry Leahy (email earlier in this thread).

    If you are thinking of using Tesco Mobile Recycling, then don't. It really isn't worth the stress and headache trying to sort it out.

    Continuing from my previous post dated 22/10/2010, I finally got the Tesco Gift Card in my hand last week on 19/11/2010 after chasing up with Greener Solutions (a.k.a ZooZoo).

    It was a nightmare dealing with the staff of Greener Solutions. After I first got hold of them around 22nd October, I thought that I would get my Tesco Gift Card within a couple of days. But no I was wrong.

    The lady (her name was Tulena) whom I had talked to over the phone several times, was blatantly lying. The very first time she surprised me saying that they haven't received my phone. I then sent her the Royal Mail's proof of delivery. Then she found that Ok they have got the phone. After that she would lie that they would send the Gift Card next week and so on.

    This had really tested my patience. After calling them up several times I was so annoyed and !!!!ed off that finally I called them and threatened them that they don't post the Gift Card by tomorrow then I would complain to Tesco. It worked this time. They said that they would send the Gift Card by Special Delivery tomorrow.

    The next day I got a call from them saying that they had dipatched the Gift card by RM Special Delivery. I was a bit sceptic. So I asked them to give me tracking no., which she did give me. I got the Gift Card the following day before 9 AM by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

    To get my Gift Card this whole episode took more than 1 month and 1 week with lots of stress and anxiety.

    The saddest thing is that the company such as this Greener Solutions are spoiling the image and reputation of Tesco.

    My sincere advice to all those thinking of sending their phones to Tesco Mobile Recycling is not to send them. Even if you get a few quids more than other recycling companies, I would advise to please avoid Tesco Mobile Recycling at all cost.

  • i'm having the exact same crap experience, wish i'd googled them *before* posting off my old iphone, but the strength of tesco's brand automatically made me assume it'd all go smoothly.

    i've emailed Sir Tel as suggested above & am keeping fingers crossed

    When did you send yours? I haven't received any updates from them yet. Planning to call them tomorrow.
  • When I complained to Sir Terry I also sent a letter to Tesco Head Office. I recieved a £10 gift card from them a couple of days ago apologising for the hassle and saying that if I still hadn't received the vouchers to let them know and they would look into it.

    I also contacted MSE and suggested that they remove the Tesco Mobile Recycling info from their site and was told they couldn't but this was the forum to let people know what my experiences were like.

    I also just assumed being Tesco that they would be the more reliable and trustworthy people to send my phone too.

    I hope you get yours sorted without much hassle :(
