Help connecting to XBox Live

Am told it's a hard drive? He's not ventured too far into it, I think he's a bit intimidated. He got his butt kicked on one of the games last night and he's so used to getting his own way. Here's hoping it'll be worth all the heartache, sweat and tears eh

hi, i'm trying to connect my sons abox to live, my router os on WEP will it not connect?, if not what do i connect to , this is what is showing

WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)
WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)
WPA2-PSK(Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 with Pre-Shared Key)
WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK
WPA-802.1x
WPA2-802.1x
WPA-802.1x+WPA2-802.1x

and when it asks for a network key , do i put in the same key as the WEP, i have not got a clue what to do and i dont want to mess up my settings

Choose the WPA-PSK or WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK. The key you use for that will then be the same as you need for the Xbox.

I dont have an answer as to why the internet stopped working on the laptop,

re the network key, what you need to do is login to the router and got o wireless settings and where it says passphrase or network key you can enter a new passphrase, bear in mind what ive said could very well be different for your router carla, what make and model is your router

no the laptop is fine now, both my sons are very happy
