fletch what usb port are you using on the 360, the 1 at the back i guess, when you plug it in does the light come as green
  • Is your network the only one the Xbox picks up?

Is your router set up for WPA2, WPA or both. The Xbox only does WPA.

DCFC79 the light at the back is very definitely red. I've never seen it green

PFF - Am not sure BUT my password contains all of those initials. Am I being silly and have put in the wrong thing? I got the number by putting in the router's IP address

My Goodness, we saw a wee bit green but it went back to red. I'm going to try putting in the code again. Please pray to the God of Raw Nerves for me.....

NOPE! Not a chance. the light has remained red and the Test Media Connection has said Not connected again.

Is it faulty do you think? Have I missed a button to press on or something? What bad luck that I've possibly got a broken thing. It cost nearly £60 too.

Please stop telling her its a faulty adaptor or the USB slot is !!!!!!ed, as its very rare for the adaptor to be faulty.

You would be best off visiting a forum called "Xbox Live The Guide" (google it) they are very helpful and should be able to assist you. Its probably just some router settings that need to be sorted which they can explain to you :)

What do you mean exactly be 'all those initials?'

I'm just wondering if you're putting in the right key into the Xbox.
