    Small bits of good news for today...

    I was charged £2.50 for text message banking yesterday, despite cancelling it the minute first direct started charging for it in January... I complained, and it was refunded today :D Ok, so its only £2.50, but that's not the point ;)

    Just been accepted for another 0% card too, for 9 months. At the last minute I remembered to check Quidco, and managed to get £14.50 cashback for it in the end as well :beer:
    Highest Debt (Sept 04) -> £41,300 :(

    thanks ruyareece!

    I have to go & buy some leccy on my key as I'm down to 90p! :o :rotfl:
    The rest has to stay in my account as I can now ring CCCS for a second appointment to increase the payments on my DMP (this desperately needs doing as its now due to end in 2037 due to them adding on the interest etc) :eek:
    So I'm going to be really good with it or I feel like I'm letting down myself & everyone who's given their time to help me with advice :A

    Good news! (I love this thread)

    It is 12 months to the day since my lightbulb moment and although I still have debts, there is now less than 3 weeks to go to my debt free day - woo hoo. I've cleared over £4k of debt and am nearly there now.

    thats brilliant roversbabe, fantastic news!

    you've achieved so much in a year - well done :j

    wish my dfd was that close! :cry:
  • Used some of DHs backpay to pay my car insurance in full, and saved £13 in interest. However when I phoned them (Liverpool Victoria) to pay I realized when I'd come off the phone having paid them in full that I'd paid more than their quote. I rang them back and asked them why, and they said I'd had to pay interest to use their budget facilty. I said I don't want facilty as I've just paid in full, and they changed price again back to original quote. You have watch these people don't you!

    I think I've got a bit of good news...

    I joined an online gaming site yesterday through Pigsback so that I would get 1000 piggypoints, you have to deposit £10 to get the points but I thought I'd give it a go. Anyway, I ended up winning £50 but wasn't sure what the catch was and if I'd get the money :confused: but I've had an email confirming that I will get a cheque for £50 in the post. So with the piggypoints, I'm £50 better off (I'll believe it when I see the cheque though!!):rotfl:
