I got a rebate from the water company this morning of £128. Last week I had a letter saying my direct debit had increased from £20 to £23.50 a month, so something wasn't adding up!! I rang them it's ended up my direct debit will be £18.50 from May, so they won't take a payment in April and I get to keep the cheque. How's that for good news?
Unfortunately, DD and I need haircuts £25 and she needs new school shoes £30 but the rest I can put towards paying off the Inland Reveue

some more good news in the post today :j
The first of my creditors has stopped interest on my loan with them so it looks like things are starting to progress with my DMP.
And I should be getting a phonecall from CCCS in the next 2 weeks to have my second appointment so that I can increase payments to them. I have worked out a figure just have to confirm it with them & then I will have really really good news!
Hope there's lots of good news for you all today :j0 -

I'm so pleased that there is so much good news flying around, it's definately true that alot of the time we get swamped down with the "must clear debt" mantra, which, dont get me wrong is good but its easy to get really really down if it feels like theres no good stuff or fun stuff!!
My good news for the week....I knuckled down to sort my end of year stuff out for my self employed work and in adding everything up I realised that my tax credits have underpaid by £385 this year so I will have a nice bonus in April.Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!0 -
My case at the employment tribunal against my former employers for unpaid wages of £4,800 has almost ended. They failed to submit any defense to my claim and the judge is looking at my case today, and will undoubtedly rule in my favour
I was so worried over the last few days that they would sneak in at the last minute before the deadline and file a response (well not worried from the sense of them having the remotest possibility of winning), just the hassle of lots of extra work to prepare for the tribunal and to get things ready to present to the judge etc.
Now I don't have to do any of that work and I hope tomorrow I get a letter saying I've wonWoo yay

OK, I have some good news I think!
Have raised through ebay, quidco/greasypalm cashback, birthday money and credits from water bills in kent £450 to help pay off my Barclays Overdraft!!! So that means it almost paid!
I have also organised the removal of old sofa bed, the handyman to come and quote to the letting agents all the repair work on the flat, a new telephone for the flat (old one was broken), a night out with some very old friends, but on the cheap.
Generally having a great day!!0 -
