Last night I was lurking and having a good catch up for a while when I realised I had not posted any good news for ages
I think it's mainly down to the fact that this week has been a bit hard and I have not been feeling as positive as before but I am building up again :j
So I can happily report two good things that happened this week:
1. I transferred my part of the joint OD from Barclays (APR 15.6%) to A&L (APR 0% for 12 months). Nice saving which will impact on my DFD
2. Today I used £20 of my £2 coins to pay a bit off my credit card, which is on 0% until July.
So I feel like I have achieved something and I am now really looking forward toa good weekend
Keep working at it, we are winning! :TLeason learnt :beer:0 -
I've just realised why this thread is so fab, I'm sat here trying to think what I can do so I have good news to tell, it makes me do things to get fab results just so I can then say about it on this thread. Can't think of anything for today yet but its not even 11am yet so I have plenty of time yet.May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080

Well done everyone! It's pay day today and i've been fighting with myself whether to go shopping at lunchtime. Reading this has cured me of the urge!
Just paid £300 off my credit card (0%APR), and £70 into my savings account (5.5% interest). I'm booking a holiday on Monday and for this first time i'll be paying for it from my savings rather than adding it to a credit card!
I'm off to spend lunch reading and eating my home made sandwiches.
Thanks all!!!

No financial good news for me today (except an extra hours work for £35!!) but I took my dog to be assessed for her to be a Pets As Therapy dog (P.A.T dog)..........and she passed with flying colours, I am so proud of her.
For those who have not heard of this...its a voluntary thing where dog and cat owners take their pets into places such as hospitals and nursing homes to visit people. It doesnt sound like a big deal but for someone who may have had pets all their life and now finds themselves in a care situation it can be a huge boost. Or for a child in hospital who has withdrawn into themselves the interaction with an animal can be amazing. Or someone who has suffered a stroke who is not responding to physio the natural reaction to stroke a dog can be the beginning of regaining the use of a hand or arm.
The dogs (I dont have a cat so I dont know about that) are assessed regarding their temperament, nature, calmness etc. Zig was a true star and subject to references etc she will be visiting very soon.Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!0 -
