I feel good! I have had my first commission on a new business venture today (with the likelihood of a further 2 commissions), had a booking for an existing business for next week and am thinking of also becoming a virgin rep to earn a few more pennies, whilst my 2 other businesses are getting off the ground. :j :j
Went to Tesco and was overcharged on my bread - so £2.40 back to me. I was given a £2 coin and 2 x 20p so they have gone into the relevant pots for saving :T
And the clock's went forward last night, so spring is on it's way (yippee)When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0 -
:T Good news is I phoned Telewest today and cancelled the Talk Unlimited saving £16.50 and also reduce my Broadband from £25.00 to £17.99.
Total Saving £32.51.
I also cancelled one of my many life insurances which we should receive £1501.00. Going to use this towards my Barclaycard. (Need to keep the others to have when I am old, grey and NOT IN DEBT) :rotfl: . This will save us £13.00 a month to go towards paying my Barclaycard.
If it wasn't for this site I would have never phoned Telewest and just kept on paying the usual amount knowing we really wasn't really using the services we was paying for.
Thanks for everyone here it feels so good to be in control.. :TLightbulb Moment - January 2008

My good news for today is that I contacted my bank and reduced my sole OD limit from £500 to £50 (don't use that account any more but may do one day when I am able to piggybank).
Also got the joint OD down from £2,750 limit to £1,150. This account has a balance of just over £1,000 which is the OH's debt. I transferred my half to a 0% interest account :j
Have a great day everyone!Leason learnt :beer:0 -
Wow Moozie thats a big difference with your overdraft well done :j :j
Its been lovely this month looking at our statement with no D's next to everything :rotfl: gives you a boost!!0 -
Well done Moozie - our cards are on 0% so we should really be focusing on reducing our overdraft rather than our cards...but I'm addicted
OH has swithched cards and his old card have taken too big a payment to cover the residual - so they owe us money :j makes a change.
DD payments for the cards have gone through today so I just had to update my sig :j - hope to keep it like that too since we've got a bit of an expensive month ahead - look out for me reporting lots of no spend days (hopefully!). Maybe we could do it together oops a daisy :beer:0 -
Just had some great news.
Have a loan with Nationwide which I thought was on 7% (turns out its on 12%) but thought it was fixed or would have to pay a penalty.
Phoned up as saw on their website that you can make overpayments.
So I can overpay and get rid of this one!!! yippee.
Only downside is that can only pay £100 per month so wont be as fast as hoped but does mean I can half the time to pay it off and therefore half the interest!!
Just worked out that this brings my DFD forward a year!!!! yipppeeeee!!!!!0 -
Well gang no major good news but I did get a free bottle of wine from the lovely Mr T
so I may be typing a bit wobbly later

My good news is that whilst sorting out all my paperwork (still got alot to go through  ) found some share certificates that my OH was given for free as part of his job, we checked out the price of them today and decided to sell which when the cheque gets here will mean the overdraft will be completely paid and we may even be in credit :j we also found out when we phoned that we have more than we thought which means that somewhere we should find another certificate which we will also cash in...........so one of my goals this week is to find it, could say its a real treasure hunt
Plus joined Quidco and have earned some extra cash, not alot but as we all know on here, every little helps.
Sorted out some of my books and have sold a few.
Plus found out that i am in credit with my rent account so that means i don't have to start paying the new increase until the end of June :j
Plus did my weekly shop and only spent £30, for a family of five, all down to learning a few tricks from the OS board on here, really checking my fridge and cupboards and using Vouchers wisely :j
If only every week was so good i would be out of debt in no time :rotfl:Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash
