The Good News Thread...

My good news is that I have an interview tomorrow.

my good news is.....

i was working at my part time job on sun at a bookies....

it was another 40mins to go before closin, so i went out and did a shop tidy sweeping the floor. i swept the rubbish underneath the chairs onto the pan and noticed a tenner!! :j so i quickly maneouvered the other rubbish on top of the tenner and put the broom over it as i was worried one of the punters may have seen and quickly went back behind the counter and chucked the rubbish onto the floor.

i went back out to finish the reamiainder of the sweep and when i was done and went back behind the counter again, my manager had cleared the rubbish off the floor for me and put the tenner to one side. when i looked at it properly, it was actually TWO tenners!!! i was so happy as this has never happened to me before!! :T

well...by closing time no one had come in saying they lost any money, so we kept it and got a tenner each!! :beer:

I got some good news today, my personal pension from opting out of serps and paying in for about 12 years is worth about 10k more than I thought...just consolidated all my old plans and transferred it to a stakeholder with lower charges and more chance of growth.

I might be able to retire at 80 now instead of 95 lol

My good news is that I got rid of my car today. That's 55 a month in insurance saved! :dance:

Ny good news is that my soon-to-be-ex mortgage provider has finally agreed that they are WRONG in trying to charge an early repayment fee of £5111 to let me escape and I now have it in writing!!

Abbey here we come!

My good news today is the daft bat on the phone day before yesterday quoted me the wrong amount to pay up the car insurance..so another 15.27 in the kitty this month..ooh and my baby boy (15 :rolleyes: ) got a headmasters commendation for Maths...he obviously never took after his mum :rotfl:
