    Just cancelling my LLoyds TSB mastercard now- YAY! ( only from BT to another card, but still!!)

    Cor blimey, just closed down my Ltsb mastercard, what a b***dy mission!! Closure dept really do everything they can to keep you dont they

    Them "can I ask why you want to close the card"
    Me "dont need it"
    Them " can i ask why"
    Me " trying to get out of debt"
    Them " oh really, only you are entitled to an American Express reward card with..."
    Me " no thanks"
    them " why not"
    me " er...want to get out of debt"
    them "if I offered you 9.9%..."
    me "no thanks"
    them "do you have any other credit cards"
    me "yes, a 0% with Egg"
    them " when does it expire?"
    Me "jan I think"
    them "only we can offer you"
    Me " no thanks"
    them "personal loan...?"
    Me "erm NO thank you"
    Them " what we do is leave the account open so you can reorder a card at any time"
    Me "no thanks, I really dont want this, if IM going to spend ill do it on my 0%"
    Them "OK, then as long as your sure"

    GOOD LORD, JUST CANCEL THE CARD!!!

    OMG!!!

    I just got a call from the Coop- they are refunding my charges!!! 157.01!! Going straight in my current account now!!!

    I started the call all, hmmm can we do this by letter, she goes fair enough, but I was just phoning to tell you we are refunding it,,, I softened then YAAAAAY

    So much good news for me today!!!!

    I think this must be a bad day for Co-op.. The charges I was refunded today were from them too!

    Did you speak to Brenda? She was lovely, and she said "oh we were going to quibble over the 7.01 interest, but as its so little, you might as well have it instead of us"
