    My good news today is sort of good and bad.

    This morning I pranged a car by accident and so went to find the owner to offer to pay for damage (not through insurance)

    When I had done it I felt sick at the thought of a stupid error which might cost me £300 or so. All that hard work down the drain.

    But when I told him and showed him the damage, he kindly said not to worry about it and a bit of T cut would sort that out.

    I was so happy and relieved. Will be very careful with car from now on.

    My good news is that i have closed my capital one credit card. It has had a zero balance since i consolidated into a loan last november (i didn't know about this site back then!) and since then i have phoned twice to close the account. Both times i was talked into keeping it open 'for emergencies' they even halved the APR for me. This time i called and closed it just like that, easy peasy, just waiting for letter of confirmation.

    Also, i recieved my first quidco payment into my paypal account, it was for opening a cahoot savings account. i love free money :)

    my good news is that today I've paid off my Virgin card AND my Halifax ONE card - admittedly, I got a loan in order to do so (was unable to get anymore 0% cards and was getting a bit extra for a car...) but I have thus reduced the interest rates from 24.9% on Virgin (didn't realise it was this high - used to be 0% but then it ran out and I never checked - doh!) and 17.9% on Halifax ONE to 6.4% on loan - which I am also working on paying back early... YEY! and I pick up my new car on Saturday, which is not DFW at all but makes me happy!
    :money: 2007 is the year to clear :money:

    Debt as it stands :eek::
    CC - £3800 @0% til July 07
    Personal Loan - £14,351 (6.4% APR) _pale_

    Proud to be dealing with my debts

    thanks guys :)

    i'm a sales persons dream because i am totally taken in by what they say, but I'm getting stronger thanks to this forum.

    It really feels great knowing i no longer have £2,500 available credit and it will do my credit rating good too - for when i am debt free and can take advantage of offers and deals.

    Morning All
    I dont often get to post on this one but...
    A chap came round to see OH last night (at 10.30, frightened the life out of me)to ask if he'd like a couple more lessons from September. Which is good news number 1. He also asked who had designed our website. I said i had. He liked it so much he asked me to do one for their swim school & wants a quote from me. Yahoo. I am used to getting paid for work but i really like the idea of getting paid for a hobby !
    I am happy bunny today.
