My good news is that I banked 2 cheques totalling £47.21 - only taken 2 weeks to do it!!
Other good news is that whilst shopping with work money, I picked up Sharwood's curry sauce as they're on BOGOF...but then put them back!! Sticking to HM instead! So ended up as a no spend day.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
My good news for today is that I had my IFA round last night to talk about finding me a better mortgage rate.
There looked to be alot of good short term deals but then they go to a sky high S variable rate. (not impressed)
So he showed me a good long term tracker that he knew of. It looked good but I knew that there was a better one (thanks to MSE and moneysupermarket.com).
He said it looks good and so think i'll be going for that as long as he doesn t come back to me with any catches.
So hopefully I ll be saving £40 per month!! yipppee!!!0 -
I managed to get an interest free loan from work to clear most of my credit card and have just been told that I'll get the cheque on Friday lunchtime so can post it off then! Yay! No more nasty interest.Official DFW Nerd no. 082! :cool:Debt @ 01/01/2014 £16,956 Debt now: £0.00 :j

My husband claimed his expenses. He'd let it slip for a couple of months...
approx £1200 in a chq and just over £600 to come in his wages!0 -
I had some brilliant news this morning. Back in February (just after I had my lightbulb moment) our landlord decided he wanted to sell the house we have rented for the last 9 years. Due to the debts we have we are not in a position to buy it and I was so stressed about having to move ... I love it here!!
Well this morning we had a letter from him saying he had changed his mind and would like to offer us a 3 year tenancy agreement instead as he knows how we love the place and wants to give us more security. How pleased am I!!!!! :T
Our rent is going to go up a little but it's still very reasonable and will enable me to get to my DFD of Dec 2009 without having to worry about moving and spending more on rent etc.
Happy .... Happy .... Happy.
