Techuhoha, don't worry about the 14 day deadline. When you file your claim you can add 8% interest - how much extra would that be for you??

Count your lucky start at least they're ignoring your paperwork instead of losing it and asking if you'd be so kind as to send them a copy  Useless lot, and I trust these people with my hard earned kahuna?

Hope you get it all back Amos. If you get it all back how much debt will you have left after that? Or will it pay most of it off? I havent worked out the 8% on the spreadsheet yet I've been so busy selling loads of stuff on ebay and I keep finding more and more. Just found some junior lifejackets in the shed. Dont suppose we'll be needing those again. I think the 8% will be a fair bit because some of the charges go back 6 years. Glad to read that youre sorting things out with your partner.

Thanks teshuoha :) Well after they pay me I will be debt free, bill free and have a few hundred spare. I'm going to use that few hundred to start building up my emergency fund before I start investing and saving the rest of my income. I will soon have a £5k lump sum to invest and about £900pcm additionally on top of that if all goes to plan

After spending several years in debt it will be nice to finally be free and actually in a position where I don't have many worries besides what I'm gonna wear when I go out.

BTW I'm currently also pursuing another 25 legal cases looking at unfair charges, so anything from them will also go in to my emergency fund.

More of a bump really. But...I found £30 I'd forgotten about and I've got myself a little ironing job and my 2nd day no smoking. All qualifies as good news in my book :D

Be careful lynzpower, you never know when you might have to pay that deposit back!

My good news is that I checked my online bank account today and noticed that it had been credited with £65, which can only be the bank charges I claimed back a few months ago!! I wrote to them in Febuary, got fobbed off with a few "we feel that our charges are fair" messages, put in a formal complaint and thought that they weren't going to do anything about it. 3 months later the money turns up! Fantastic!
