Oh nooooooooo!!! I'll be humming it all night now!

That's what happened to me. I thought it would be only fair to inflict it on the rest of you.
I can't believe that was recorded in the 70's. Where the hell has my life gone. I think I'm spending too much time on MSE.
I need to get out more. If only I could escape my padded cell.0 -

Thanks, that's very kind of you...

You jest about mse, but I've had a couple of times when I've had to force myself not to log on for a couple of days!

The same is true of me - due to working from home it is always tempting to have a peek at what is happening on MSE. The problem is that the quick peek turns into an hour plus some.
I think I need to ask my wife to put a parental control on my internet access so that it blocks the MSE website.0 -
My response was to use being as good as told we are in danger every time we open our front door and must put on the chain first!
As far as I am aware, the average fake caller is not dangerous and will actually move on swiftly if challenged for ID.
I can understand some people wanting to use the chain as it makes them feel safer but fear does not always match reality, no matter what the papers tell us.
Not where I live. Currently we have gangs of fake callers who use distraction techniques to enter a back door, or if the householder is elderly just push them to the floor. They work an area and move on. Assuming it is only media hype helps them as they enter a new area.
I'm not one for Daily Mail hysteria either
, I'm going on local police stats and seeing them on my doorstep.
I miss being able to trust people too but it is right to be wary.0 -

For a minute, I'd actually forgotten the purpose of this thread.
I suppose even if the OP hasn't gained any good advice in the last page of posts, hopefully they'll enjoy the read.
I'm off to annoy my cat...0 -

At this rate the entertainment society, or whoever, will require the site to have a music license.
and I think those pesky keyboard sellers have sold me one............it doesnt allow certain punctuation either
also, yes I work a lot from home and I have blocked MSE from my works laptop otherwise nothing gets done to do with work.............lol0 -

My cat went outside and so I'm back on MSE (I don't think she likes me)!
There was one point when I actively tried to delete my MSE account so I could no longer post; however I couldn't find the option to remove my account from the site. I assumed it must be divine intervention or something and that I was put on this earth simply to inflict my bizarre postings on society at large.0 -

Oh my word!!
I'm far too weak for that!:eek::eek:0
