Hey, I have never been on a Cruise, thanks for the link will take a look..
My partner found the Tamarijn Aruba AI but some of the posts aren't great about the food available and I'd like great food :beer:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I'm reading the reviews on trip advisor for El Dorado SS and it sounds fab! Only minus point I've read so far is that someone booked through First Choice and had a Thompson flight and they weren't too impressed..
I would be interested to know how you booked your break here please? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I thought that read somewhere that Thompson longhaul flights were really good, I wonder if I have confused this with a different company - has anyone else flown with them to Mexico in the last year or so.
Would Virgin be a better way of booking this holidayThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I have a similar question, I have been offered a holiday for 2 weeks to Florida for my self my daughter and her 6 year old twins Staying at the Regal Sun Resort. The hotel seems to get mixed reports on trip advisor. I have never flown with Thompson and it does not get good ratings from Which so wondered if anyone had any info on the hotel or the airline or a better sugestion for doing Disney for the first time with 2 princesses. Thanks0

Virgin fly to America then you change planes and then fly to Cancun and is more expensive than Thompson or Thomas Cook. We have stayed at Riu Palace Mexico and Excellence Riviera Cancun. Both very good hotels. Went to RPM with Thompson last year and ERC with Thomas Cook this year. Have also been to Cuba very nice but hotels not as good as Mexico, been to Barbados flew with Virgin great flight sham about hotel. Terrible hotel. You can get good price at Caribbean Warehouse and very freindly staff when you phone them.0

Thank you, that's really helpful. Did you have good flights with Thompson and Thomas Cook? I've read somewhere that on Thompson planes sometimes the entertainment systems don't work etc and people haven't generally enjoyed the flights.. I've flown with Thompson on a short flight and not had any problems..This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Having been to Jamaica twice, Cuba, Antigua and St Lucia....my favourite is Antigua. Everything about it is fantastic. Nothing is too far away to visit, the people are friendly and not at all pushy, lots to do and see and very safe to walk about. The others are great in their own ways but Antigua is by far the best all rounder:D Stay near St John's and you can spend your days walking around the town, popping into the shops, having a little cocktail or two and eating ice cream at the Australian ice cream bar;)0

We have flown to Mexico with Thomsons and it was a great flight. 33" of legroom (1" more than Virgin) and the entertainment system was fine.
I would also recommend the Riviera Maya, we went to the Riu Tequila in Playacar just outside Playa del Carmen and it was a fabulous holiday. So much so that we are going back at the end of June, with Thomsons.
We did look at going with Thomas Cook but after extensive research it seems that their long haul flights are absolutely dismal. Couldn't find one good review on www.airlinequality.com0
